who says do what I say and not as I do.
Example, appointing 6 people to cabinet positions that have not paid hundreds of thousands of back taxes.
Geithner? he is going after tax evaders while being found out he was a tax evader himself?????
He is full of failed policy that has been tried before. someone that raises taxes during a recession instead of across the board cuts doesn't learn from history.
But the media can't be bothered talking about that, they are too busy investigating the fact that Obama is already getting grey hairs.
Obama's failed stimulus follows FDR's failed stimulus. FDR tried it with a stimulus bill and we ended up with an entitlement program that the working class have paid into their whole lives and not see the end result.
I had reservations about bush, but contrary to popular belief:
He actually lowered taxes for ALL americans (research the legislation). When Obama allows the bush tax cuts to expire, we ALL pay more.
He kept us safe for years after 9/11.
We saw record numbers at the stock market.
Obama is intending on cap and trade, which will cost americans more out of pocket expense for gasoline and heating oil.
A rudderless man who retries failed policy is not someone I give a chance to. If was a brand new idea that no one has seen before it is different.
He doesn't talk about Reagan because Reagan ended the recession of the 80s BY CUTTING TAXES and GOVERNMENT SPENDING.

I am a serious conversative to the Nth degree. I did not vote for Obama and was very disappointed when he was awarded the presidency HOWEVER with that said he IS the president...I will respect that as I respect the position. Although I am not an Obama supporter I do hope he succeeds and I do hope he does a great job because our economy can't afford otherwise.
Rather than question old news about his birth location/country it is now time to accept it and if you have issues with polices I would then ask what have you done? With the stimilus bill...have you written to or called your senator? Have you taken any action steps?
I guess what I am saying is time to move forward in a positive direction and when there is something in policy you disagree with respect others opinions but take action steps to get involved. You can't complain and yet do nothing.

All I know is....
When I was 14(mid 70's) and was trying to get my first job in NC and needed a birth certificate from Massachussetts,it was very easy.
I called directory assistance, got the number for the Plymouth County clerk of courts and they gave me an address to send my $5 (or whatever it was) I sent it with all my information and within two weeks I had it.
No computers,no faxes,no cell phones. We had no cable or even a remote for crying out loud, two stations with rabbit ears on a good day and it only took me two weeks to produce my birth certificate so....
If Obama is a legal citizen in thie age if technology, why not produce his birth certificate and shut the mouths of all those in doubt? Unless, you can't.

I posted my concerns below.
In addition I have questions. How is it change we can believe in when:
Half of Obama's appointees have tax issues, yet they want us all to pay more taxes. Do as they say not like they do, yet Joe the Plumber gets anihalated for owing $1500 in back taxes to another state, simply for asking a question.
Obama is fearmongering this bill to be passed by saying things like "don't get hung up on the details"
Rasmussan has 37 percent of American approval rating of the stimulus bill, which is nothing but a wishlist of pork submitted by Democrats who have been held off during the Bush era.
Change we can believe in? By providing families with income upwards of $82,000 with free child's healtcare? Why?
Why impose salary caps on companies that take tarp money and not make it retroactively effective to when the program started lending? He said something along the lines that if anyone gets government money, it should be fairly regulated.
Which poses the question, if they say that, and politicians are ALSO paid with government money (and you can see how well government is run...no not really), why isn't it fair to demand that anyone that gets a government job themselves including their family cannot have net worth of more than $500,000?
Why are we giving money back to people who contribute zero taxes to the system in the first place?
I am ready for answers, from you or anyone.

If the Census Brueau says that a child of 2 parents of different races takes the race of the mother, why then is he the first "black" president? Isn't his mother white? I never understood this.

You have not been informed. His mother was born and raised in the United States. That makes her a US citizen.Barack thru her is a US citizen. The fact that Barack was born in Hawaii( US Territory-last I checked)makes him a US citizen. You should check the Census Bureau for definition of race when a child is born of parents not of the same race. I hate to inform all of you-Barack takes the race of his mother-not his father. I will leave it a that. Please don't take my word. Look it up for you satisfaction.

There is no way to edit a post, but wanted to add, I do not understand why they doubt his citizenship as his mom was born in the United States to parents(his grandparents) who were from Tipton, Indiana. She married her husband in Hawaii and gave birth to her son(now our president) in Hawaii. She never left the country until she married her second husband 6 years after his birth. She sent him back to Hawaii to live with his grandparents.
His mother is also a distant cousin of former U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney and former U.S. President Harry S Truman.
You can read a bio of his mom at the address below.

It does not matter where he was born as his mother was an American citizen. His mother was born at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, United States, If a citizen of the United States and a citizen of any other country have a child together, that child has dual citizenship until they are an adult. He grew up in this country. Just accept it, he won.
Another person pointed out that he is bi-racisl rather than black. Yes this is true, but who cares? He is already getting to work on improving our lives.

I am no fan of Barack Obama but I am so sick and tired of hearing this from fellow Republicans and other Obama-dissenters.
Listen, this notion that Obama is not a natural born citizen is horse hockey. I think it's about time we stop clogging up our federal court system and wasting our resources with these frivilous lawsuits against Obama, when our economy is bleeding out money.
Obama went up against the Clintons and the entire GOP. If these two groups of highly influential and well-funded resources couldn't prove anything, there is no proof. Simple as that. I don't doubt for a second that Hillary and the GOP didn't try and dig up as much dirt about this citizenship thing as possible. There is no smoking gun. He is legit. His election was legit. Although the conspiracy theory provides a nice distraction from hard word the rebuilding the Republican party will be, that's all it is. A distraction. And a wasteful one.
Let's stop wasting the high court's time and OUR federal tax dollars that are spent on the court's time and resources and start rebuilding this country.

But if it is insisted that he is the 1st Black President since 50% is black then I claim that he is the next white President since he is 50% white. Last I heard of this combination one was considered bi-racial. Guess that went out the window when Obama became president. Guess it is no longer politically correct to say bi-racial. Wonder what all the folks out there that have a black and white parent are thinking. Guess it depends on whose yard you are standing in. I find the entire 1st Black President statement disappointing. All this publicity about his race is unreal, can't we just say he is a man who became the next President?

Nothing surprises me in this country. Why is it being said he is the first black president when he is 50% white. He is not the first black president he is the first bi-racial president. When people talk to me about him and that he is the first black president, I politely correct them. Personally, I don't care man, woman, black, yellow, white, big, ugly, skinny, etc. I'd just be thrilled to know that whomever was in office truly had my best interest at heart, was honest, made it that when a bill is submitted that it only be for what it is meant to be and not have all the other "incidentals" added on - line item veto needs to be law!. I'm also tired of this country trying to tell other countries what and how to do their business. Look internally first and get our own country in order. Taking care of our poor, sick, homeless, uninsured, etc. should be top priority. Once we take care of ourselves we will be stronger and be able to help other countries in need (not by telling them what/how to do run their countries). Stop giving money to other countries and feed/put clothes on/insure/provide homes/better schools/etc. for our own citizens. Illegal immigrants should not be allowed aid or to live here after all what does the word "illegal" mean! I'm tired of illegal's being given what needs to be given to the true citizens of the US. I'm tired of having sixteen other languages written on every thing I purchase. English is the language and if you don't want to learn it, then leave. Does France, Spain, Italy, etc., have every thing in sixteen other languages. Oh this is only the tip of the iceberg for me. Let me not get started on "tolerance" "politically correct" "press 1 for english" "same sex marriages (geez didn't god make male and female to further produce off spring? if god wanted same sex to do this we'd all been made asexual). I don't care if you are in a same sex relationship, just stop demanding what god did not intend for you to have. We do not go to hell after death, we are living in hell when alive. The devil and his followers are here on earth in the flesh.

Can anyone tell me how the following is going to help our economy?
"-$6 billion to weatherize "modest income homes."
-$6 billion to provide internet in "underserved" areas
-$6 billion for "higher education modernization."
-$20 billion in health information technology to "prevent medial mistakes."
-$20 billion to increase food stamp funding
-$87 billion to provide a "temporary" increase in Medicaid funding
-$300 million to provide rebates for people who purchase Energy Star products
-$600 million for the federal government to buy brand new energy efficient cars
-$400 million for state and local governments to buy brand new energy efficient cars
-$2.4 billion for carbon capture demonstration programs
-$350 million to research using energy efficient technology on military bases
-$300 million for grants and loans to state and local governments for projects that reduce diesel emissions, "benefiting public health and reducing global warming"
-$500 million for energy efficient manufacturing demonstration projects.
-$400 million to build major research facilities "that perform cutting edge science"
-$1.5 billion for expanding "good jobs in biomedical research"
Borrow, spend, tax, repeat.
Also, the dems want to loosen the next bailout payment for GM so they can continue to follow their failed business model.
Doesn't this concern anyone?

Barack Obama was voted to be President of the United States by the citizens of our grand country. Case closed.
I have been watching his press conferences and the man has the USAs best interests at heart. He is concerned over the economy, the war in Iraq, he wants us to flourish and become strong again. I believe he can do it. Give the man a chance! Leave race and his past out of it. Unless you know him personally, it is all heresay.

Putting the constition aside I personally can't ignore how bad things have become because we put a true american goodolboy in the white house, so perhapes a non-citizen might be just what we need. By the way I do disagree with your opinion, but even if I'm wrong and your right regardless all I care about is whether Obama can get us out of this mess. Maybe if he is successful we should amend our consitution to only allow non-citizens to be president. Maybe it's for the best.

Good God, get over it, will ya?
I've heard this, and many other frivolous arguments from that side of the political spectrum for several months now. And no, I can't put my political agenda aside, because obviously you can't, which is the sole purpose of your letter.
Your side did the same thing to Bill Clinton, long before he even won his first election in 1992, and you hounded him long after he left office. In fact, you guys like to blame all of the woes in America today on something that Clinton supposedly did during his presidency. Sorry, you lose.
Stick with your right-wing media outlets to get your "news", if it pleases you. You know, the one that claims to be "fair and balanced"? Or whatever you might pick up from the FreeRepublic website.

I am sure that if Mr Obama was ineligble, than he would have never been able to run. Aren't many of the justices on the Supreme Court Bush appointed? So, these are Republican appointed and probably would want to see another Republican in the office.
Don't you think there would have been a bigger uproar from Senators and other people against Obama if Obama was not a naturalized citizen?
There is simply no way that a non-citizen or not naturalized citizan could obtain the highest office of our nation. Obama has many political enemies and you would think that something would be made of this if it was really true.
Just calm down and sit back. Mr Obama is going to be our president for the next four years.

I hear ya, guy. I wrote my own letter to the Supreme Court a couple days ago asking them to overturn last weekend's Vikings-Eagles game, as it's a well-known fact that the NFL never officially declared Philadelphia eligible for having a professional football team, being that they never took the super-secret oath of NFL eligibility. Also, I'm pretty sure they cheated, in such a dastardly manner that made it totally unnoticeable to me or anyone else. Those dirty, rotten cheaters. I hate it when people win when I clearly don't want them to.
Good luck with your thing. If it does go your way, let me know who the replacement Prez will be. Just as long as it's not that Romney guy. His eyebrows frighten me terribly.

Barrack Obama met all qualifications to run for President. Sadly there are still people out there who are distraught at this.
But then for the same reasons he was allowed to run for President you are allowed free speech...its called the Constitution and because of it you are allowed to voice your opinion on this matter.

1. John McCain was born in the Panama Canal area. Why did he get to run?
2. President Obama's mother was born in Kansas.
3. President Obama was born in Hawaii, a few years after it had already become a state
4. If the claims from the OP had any truth to them at all, don't you think with all the Obama haters out there they would have been proven? Oh that's right, the claims that President Obama is not a citizen aren't true!
Electing Barack Obama should be one of our proudest moments as Americans, regardless of your policial persuasions. But a few braindead rednecks who can't stand the thought of electing an African American man with a funny name have to go and ruin it.

Obama won because he got more votes. Including mine and my husbands. Even IF his mother was born in another Country, if her mom and/or dad were American Citizens, SHE is automaticly one. His mom WAS an American Citizen, so Obama is one too.
If not being born in the State exempts you, then McCain could NOT win either. He was born (to American parents) in Panama.
He proved it to the people that matter. And it was not you, or me, or any other "normal" American. Just because YOU didn't see the actuall paper, doesn't mean the people that matter hasn't seen it either.

Just because YOU have not seen anything but JPEGs does not mean that others have not seen actual printed documentation.
You've written to the Supreme Court. They've already been asked to, on several occasions, to take action to prevent Obama from taking the oath. They, as a group, have decided that there is no need to take such action.
If others, those with extensive legal background and experience with the Court, cannot persuade the Court to take action, what makes you think that your letter would make a difference?
You're certainly entitled to try, so I'm not saying that you shouldn't have written and sent this letter. Just asking what makes you think that this letter will be treated with any more consideration than those from people like Alan Keyes, Leo Donofrio, or Philip Berg?

He has produced paper copies. From the State of Hawaii, officials from which have verified that it is a valid copy. He can't provide each and every person in the country with a paper copy, so yes most of us will see computer images.
As was already mentioned, his mother was a natrual born US citizen

Sigh. Obama proved that he was born in Hawaii. Officials in Hawaii certified his birth certificate. Just because the wingnut bloggers say otherwise DOESN'T MAKE IT TRUE.
You're believing a bunch of lies. And you're wrong about his mother--she was born in Kansas. She is a U.S. citizen and has been since birth.
Consider looking into the FACTS yourself and not relying on FAUX-NEWS or other right-wing sources of information.

I'm ignoring your personal and political agendas, and recognizing the evidence he's doing a darned fine job without even having been sworn in yet. He could produce a birth certificate on the back of a canned pineapple wrapper as far as I'm concerned.
