Snobby Employees at Nordstrom's Bobby Brown Counter

I have been shopping at Nordstrom since I was a toddler. They are known for their great customer service and this is why this particular case has bugged me so much.

On two separate occasions I visited the Bobby Brown counter at store 345. The first time, I must've stood at the counter for a least ten minutes before someone came to help me. There was a girl leaning against the counter doing some paperwork, she never said hi.

On January 30, 2009, I again visited the Bobby Brown counter. Again that same girl was leaning against the counter doing paperwork, again never said hi. I stood there forever waiting for an employee to finish helping a customer. Another employee just starred at me, but I didnt bother asking her for help because I figured she worked for another line. When the other employee was finally done with the customer I said "hi"..she looked at me and continued walking. She later looked at me again and i said "can you please help me?" she said "no i cant but one of these two women can." the girl leaning against the counter said "oh!" as if she never saw me..these two incidences has really made me feel like either buying my bobby brown online or going to another counter. I shop at Dior and Chanel cosmestics all the time and I am never treated this way. I feel like the employees working behind the Bobby Brown counter are extremely snobby.

I would like someone to talk to this particular employee about what Nordstrom customer service is suppose to be like. Im sure Im not the only customer she's done this too.

Apparently when the reality star thing and the country/western thing
didn't pan out, he had to diversify!

Isn't Bobby Brown a bad husband and rapper?

Heh now he's just a bad EXhusband! by RedheadwGlasses Fri February 6, 2009 @ 2:01 PM

I just can't imagine myself standing at a counter for 10 minutes with
a worker staring at me (or doing paperwork) and not speak up to say
"can you help me?"

Regardless, this is totally unacceptable customer service.

I agree on both counts! by RedheadwGlasses Fri February 6, 2009 @ 12:31 PM

For the record, it is Bobbi Brown cosmetics.

The counter help are not store employees but employees of the cosmetic
line.

but at Macy's they are employees of the store first, cosmetic line
second.

When you shopped there as a toddler, did you know how to count your
change, or did you just trust the CSR?

Sounds like she is either selective about what customer(s) she waits
on or is just plain lazy.

I hope you hear from Nordstrom and if you do please share it with us.
