Not Plagiarism Free

Posted Wed March 18, 2009 9:35 am, by Vander D. written to Student Network Resources Inc

I purhased a paper from this company that claim to be plagiarism free. In doing a plagiarism check, it came back 88% plagiarism not free. I asked for a rewrite, and they told me that there was not a problem with the paper, and nothing could be done about. I even sent them proof of the plagiarism check I did on the paper, and they still said there was not problem. The sad part about it, there is no refund if I didn't want the paper. I guess you get what you pay for in this life. This company claims their papers are plagiarism free is a big fat lie. Don't buy papers from this company. Sorry I did.

Rewrite the paper to live up to its claim to be plagiarism free.

So let me get this straight...you BOUGHT a paper so that you wouldnt
have to write your own, and now you're complaining because itw asn't
plagiarism free?

Ever hear the expression 'cheaters never prosper'?

Those papers that are up for sale are meant as examples and sources
that must be cited just like any other source when you write a paper,
not for you to buy and turn in as your own work because that makes YOU
a plagiarist.

Impaled on your own sword, I say.

And you're mad at *them*?

What ever happened to the concept of writing your own paper?

I'm sorry but this is more like classic Karma.

The time and effort you spent researching the paper that you bought
you coudl have put into an actual paper and saved the money on the
paper.

Isn't the act of buying a paper plagiarism itself as you are taking
credit for someone elses written work.

I went to the company website. They do NOT promise the paper is
"plagiarism free". They make it very clear you are NOT buying a paper
to turn in. You are buying a custom SOURCE paper that should be cited
just like any other research material. You got what you paid for. I'd
even venture a guess that they either upload the paper to the
plagiarism search engines themselves OR the other custom source papers
they've written in the past have been turned in by students MISusing
them and the papers are somewhat similar to each other. The website
preaches on and on how they do not promote plagiarism, it would take
some serious misreading to claim they promise "plagarism free". Where
on the website does it promise this?

You bought a paper to be ONLY used as a springboard to write your own
paper. Use it as intended you paid for it.

Sorry but the only way to know that your paper would be plagerism free
is if you did it yourself. Once you researched and obtained your
notes you could have sent it out to be typed up by someone else. Costs
a lot less and unless you choose to copy verbatim then it really is
100% plagerism free.

Is it just me or how can anyone learn anything if notes are typed for
you...part of the learning process is reading your notes, putting them
in order and creating the report/term paper yourself. And then there
is the issue of pride in finishing something on your own.

But I guess this is just a sign of the times and many students must
have the money to do this since this company is in business.

I guess I'm not sure how this service works...meaning do they sell the
paper only 1 time to 1 person? Or do they sell the same paper
multiple times?

While the company did not follow through on it's "promise" to you, I
don't really feel that bad...would you really expect a company with
such a "shady" service to be in any way reputable?

Chalk this up as a lesson learned.

They're not really all that shady though. by BellaSera Thu March 19, 2009 @ 10:52 AM

Other people may critisize your motive, which I personally do not
agree with myself,
however you have a valid complaint. You were promised a paper, which
you paid for, that would be original, for you, and specifically only
for you. When it comes back as plagairised, this company did not live
up to that promise, therefore I think you are owed a refund.

The OP isn't really asking for a refund, though. by BellaSera Thu March 19, 2009 @ 10:48 AM

by haranj Posted Thu March 19, 2009 @ 7:38 AM

It's been a long time since I was in school, but it seems that the
plagiarism check would be to make sure the work YOU submit is
original. If you are submitting something SOMEONE ELSE wrote,
naturally it is going to fail, as it is probably already inthe
database or whatever thay use.
What are you getting a grade for, how well you can buy papers?

that a paper being sold for the purpose of someone else not having to
write said paper would contain plagiarism.

I think the "saddest part of this" is something different than the
fact the paper is non-refundable.

It was designed to be plagiarism, and you bought it so that you could
plagiarize. That was the entire point of the transaction.

And as long as you are buying papers, you aren't getting the education
you are (or someone else is) paying for. That's too bad, especially
because if you don't want it there are plenty of other people who do,
who don't have the same opportunities you do.

If you were to take this as a sign from the universe that you ought to
do your own work, though, I would wish you luck with it.

"Rewrite the paper to live up to it's claim to be plagiarism free"

I guess you don't see the irony in that statement?
Then again, I have the sneaking suspicion you do.

I love the irony in this complaint.

Dude, if you're too busy (or lazy) to write your own paper, there are
services where you pay someone else to do it for you. Trust me; there
are plenty of people looking for extra money who don't mind writing
papers.

A co-worker works for a service that writes papers for students. by BellaSera Wed March 18, 2009 @ 6:21 PM
by Vitrescent Posted Wed March 18, 2009 @ 3:22 PM

Companies like this are banking on the fact that you're not going to
report this without admitting that you were going to plagarize. It's
sort of like the advance fee fraud scams that rely on people not going
to the police without admitting that they were planning to commit a
crime.

Regardless, the only way to ensure that a paper is plagarism free is
to do it yourself.

I can't believe there is actually a company out there that offers this
type of service. Well, I can, but I can't believe anyone would
actually be stupid enough to buy anything from them. Lazy enough,
yes.

How can you possibly justify PAYING for a ready-made product and
submitting it as your own work?

that I'm more disappointed that you actually wrote complaining to a
company that was helping YOU to plagiarize!

Since the definition of plagiarism is submitting any work as your own
that was not done by you, I guess I wonder what difference it makes
that the paper was plagiarism free? You were already violating your
school's policy just by purchasing the paper.

I'm with the others, take it as a lesson learned and next time do your
own work.
