Carside pickup order suggestion

Hello,

I ordered a carside to-go last night (June 23rd). I ordered the appetizer sampler, a side of loaded mashed potatoes and a chocolate cake from your Applebees restaurant located in Schenectady, NY.

I highly recommend you change the way you pack the sampler. It came in a very small box, the buffalo tenders were sitting on the quesadilla, which got soaked in buffalo sauce. Pretty much everything in the box was covered in mild sauce. I didn't mind this too much, but I don't know if others who order this item to go will. You might want to figure out a way to package it so one item's flavor doesn't dominate the entire sampler.

I wonder if Applebees will check PFB regarding the original letter and
see all the other comments?

I tried AB's carside to-go twice. Was disgusted both times and will
never do it again.

That said, I like AB and probably will go back to eat there again,
inside, but only if the others I am with want to eat there.

If it is up to me where we eat, though, I doubt I would pick AB
because of the carside to-go experiences. (They left me with a bad
memory of the food.)

So, if AB wants to do the carside thing, they need to realize that bad
experiences with that may very well cost them customers overall, just
not carside-only customers. And only a few of the dissatisfied carside
customers will bother to let you know about their experience ....

Good letter. I agree. I do NOT like my food mixed at all so this would
have really upset me.

Good letter. It's nice to see a good suggestion for a company instead
of a demand for free stuff!

I have used takeout at my local Applebee's quite a few times (not a
huge fan but its close to my house and a step up from McD's) and they
have used containers that keep items seperate-even for keeping the
burgers seperate from the fries.

Perhaps they had run out of them that day at your store.

They rounded up all the peruvian pipe bands (I hate that music!) and
then the gigantic guinea pigs took over America! Hilarious!

Good feedback. You are at the least owed a new sampler or a refund.

Good letter...staight to the point.
If you hear from them let us know. I think they should comp you with a
free order of appentizer sampler.

That's disgusting. I would have thrown the whole thing away. And I
don't throw things away that easily. Whoever put your order together
either has no training at all or just doesn't care. There's no excuse
for this. I think they should replace the sampler with one properly
packed.

THat was just rude and lazy on their part! What if the person who
wanted the quesadilla didn't like buffalo sauce? Then their meal is
ruined! Great feedback. I hope you hear back from them and they comp
you with some free goodies.

I use to work at Applebee's. They do have nicer, re-usable containers
that separate items. They like to use the small stryofoam ones because
they are cheaper to use. Next time you order takeout, tell the person
that you want the PLASTIC to-go containers and not the stryofoam
boxes.

Ben G.,
Good feedback that both corporate and the local store need to know.
In the mean time you might shoot a copy of your letter to the local
store manager as a just in case.

Good feedback. Some of these places don't seem to have put any
thought into these matters. It is as if they just want to throw it in
any container that doesn't leak and get it out the door.
