Only one little suggestion

Write a Letter to this Company

On August 4th we took our family to Universal Studios Orlando Islands of Adventure. We are Florida residents and we like to take a trip every summer to one of the theme parks.

First, I must say that this was by far our favorite. The park was clean and the staff was friendly. The ride lines moved quickly and even the food was good. My son got to meet Spiderman and I think I was the highlight of his life, what was even a bigger bonus was how nice Spiderman was, he must have talked with my son for about 5 minutes before posing for a picture. He made my 5 year olds day. Overall, my entire family enjoyed themselves.

I only have one suggestion and it would be my only complaint. There are no baby stations at the park. Not one! This really surprised me as I have heard that Univeral Studios Orlando has one of the nicest anyone has ever seen. The littlest member of our family is 6 months old and since I am nursing, little things like baby stations make a huge difference to me. Most theme parks have at least something these days. It is very difficult to feed a baby on a bench and since the park is busy it is very difficult to find an out of the way place. I do not like to make others uncomfortable either and I think that an addition like this would also be nice for your other guests who prefer not to see woman nursing in public.

I noticed there are several new additions being made to the park, and we are eagerly awaiting for the Harry Potter part to open, and can not wait to go back. My day would be perfect if I found a baby station upon my return and I am sure you would find it would be a welcome addition to the park for any mom looking for a quite place out of the sun to feed their baby.

Nursing facilities and companion restrooms are located at Family
Services, which is to the left of Vacation Services (Universal Studios
Floria) and at First Aid (Islands of Adventure).

I cannot vouch for the quality or the convenience of these locations,
but they do exist.

For what it's worth, I'm familiar with the facilities at Disney's
Magic Kingdom (located at the end of Main Street, near the Crystal
Palace) and EPCOT (located near Odyssey) and they are decent.

that's a VERY good point - keeping it a bit secret means they can also keep more than teenagers out... by PepperElf Sat August 8, 2009 @ 11:26 AM

the changing stations, they had those. I was talking about baby
stations..sometimes they are called nursing stations or feeding
stations. They are rooms or sometimes small buildings for moms,
especially nursing moms, to go and sit and feed the baby. There are
usually not many out of the way places at a theme park and it can be
uncomfortable for other people to see nursing moms, and it is
sometimes uncomfortable for the mom as well.

I'm surprised they don't have those either. I've seen them at a lot of
places lately and they are usually a seperate building near the
bathroom. I can totally understand not wanting to feed the baby out in
the open. It can be uncomfortable for the mom as well as others,
especially in a place as big as Universal. I hope they take your
advice.

That would be a great idea!

Thank you for not wanting to make guests uncomfortable.

I am totally for appropriate places for mothers to nurse.

Glad you enjoyed the park, we were there last year and had a blast

Good Day!
