Moldy bun? Was it actually mold or just a dark spot from when they toasted the bun? If was actually mold, why in the world did you eat it?
You are allergic to pickles? I hope you ordered that Big Mac without sauce, then. The Big Mac sauce? It's just Thousand Island salad dressing with thickeners to make it less runny. And what is in thousand island dressing? PICKLES!

I always say to anywone who even think of eating at Mcdonalds... comsumer Beware!!! I am repulsed by the smell and taste of pickles. I always always ALWAYS check my food before I eat it. ALWAYS!! Even in restaurants that top notch in service and food quality. I am very particular with my food, and have a few allergies myself, which is why I always check before I bite. Those who have any allergy or food preferance should always check. Especially in a fast food restaurant that hires at a minimun wage level. You should have been able to smell the pickles, and have seen the mold. That being said, you are responsible for what you put in your mouth. Do you have a doctors note that states why you were sick? You will not win anything if you do not have proof. AFTER all this has been said...you WANT to go back??? Good heavens WHY??? OH, yeah, WHAT debt have they caused you? You miss work for getting sick on fast food? After more than 1 day of "being sick" you should have gone to the doctor.... again, your fault.

Wait! You ate the entire sandwich, moldly bread & pickles? Maybe you pulled off the moldly parts (gag) but how did you not smell or taste the pickles after the first bite?

who would eat moldy bread???? If you ate it sans bread I could get your point...but then you'd have noticed the pickles so that theory is out the window

Eww. You ate a burger that was on a moldy bun? Are you sure it wasn't that that made you sick?
I dunno but it seems to me that if I were allergic to something severely enough that if I ate it I would be sick for a week, that I would check before taking a bite. A minimum wage employee shouldnt be trusted with my digestive health.

Moldy bread. No pickles, got pickles. I totally understand the request for refund, but why on earth would you want a gift card to eat there MORE OFTEN?
ALWAYS check when you place a special order to make sure they got it right. Allergy or not.

i would recommend telling them when you order that you are allergic
And yes, I would recommend checking before taking a bite.
since they haven't proved themselves to be trustworthy yet, don't risk your life or your health on what they "should be doing".

opens up a sandwich to make sure things your asked them to hold weren't put in. What I can't understand is why you ate the burger if it had mold on it. It could be that you have no allergy to mold so thought it would be safe to eat, but I doubt it. Maybe it was the mold that made you sick for a week.

Did you call the store up and talk to the shift manager? If there was mold on the bread they would more than likely give you a free meal or two. We're humans, we make mistakes and don't examine every bun that goes through the toaster, especially when we're making 5-10 sandwiches an order during peak times.
If you have a food allergy, why did you not even CHECK the sandwich for pickles on the sandwich? Wrong sandwiches get handed out. It happens. That sucks that you were sick, but in my opinion, that was not McDonalds fault that you ate pickles.

how on earth could you not know there were pickles? I hate hate hate pickles and can tell if they're hiding from a mile away. I can smell them as soon as I unwrap the burger. I would also assume as an adult with an allergy you would pay a little more attention to what you're eating.
