I am very unhappy! I went to eat last night and never have been so rushed in my life! We were in and out in less than an hour and that includes drinks appetizer and dessert! the server only cared about getting rid of us..example I had a salad..3 bites into the salad my 6 year old needed a potty break so we went to the bathroom...when I got back he asked me how many boxes to take home our food explained we were not doen yet and thenhe asked us what dessert we wanted as we had the 2 for 20 combo. i again told him when we were ready we would have the molten cake but he needed to wait as we were not ready and still eating dinner. Guess what 5 minutes later he brought the dessert and boxes Hubby bought home half of his burger and all of his fries. My daughter bought home all but one of her ribs. I left my salad as it had dressing on it. He brought the check when he bought the dessert and 5 times came to see if we had put our credit card out to pay. HOW RUDE CAN YOU GET???
When we had our appetizer he took it before it was all gone...come on! This is ridiculous...you go out for a family evening and fun with the family as it is the only night of the week because of work schedules that you as a family can do this and this happens he was only tipped as my husband was afraid that he would come up and ask for where his tip was in front of my kids..
refund my money 65.00 (60.20 and plus 4.80 tip) reprimand/fire the jerk...obviously he dont care about the customer...

Normally I don't write on blogs but because this is Chili's and I have family that works for them and has for many years. I have to say.... DO NOT EAT THERE. I have seen what goes on in the kitchen, I have seen how they are trained. The wait staff and the servers are only paid what is minimum by law and no more. They don't care about their customers, their food, their environment. I could go into great detail but I don't want to gross anybody out. I will say that I know for a fact that I have seen the kitchen staff spit on food, drop it on the floor, drop it in the trash can and put it back on the plates. I know for a fact that they have a 5 minute time limit to pick up food off the floor or out of the trash before it is bad. I have seen them leave food out for several hours, nuke it and send it out for a customer. I only know this because I have a family member that has worked there for many years at many different restaurants. Please save yourself from food poisoning and eat someplace that is sanitary!

I definitely agree that the manager needs to know. I had a poor exprience with Chili's this week ( my order was done wrong twice) and because I used a delivery service, they supposedly spoke to the GM about it and he told them something that I disagree with completely. I'm not a huge cook, so I eat out often. Chili's is a place I frequent. I order the same few things when I go there. I've order this item severl times, too many to count. This GM told my delivery service that they couldn't make my order as requested, however I wouldn't have ordered it that way if I hadn't gotten it that way a thousand times before. It's a bunch of BS. They didn't want to make it the way I requested it b/c it probably took a few extra minutes. I've actually been inside and eaten at that particular Chili's on a few different occaision and I know I've ordered that there at least once, the way I wanted it. I won't be going to that Chili's ever again.

Manager's have a hard time keeping an eye on everyone and rely heavily on guests to relay any bad service to them, in fact, they love when you do. Request a manager and tell him/her what's going on. Usually they will try to find someway to solve the situation (I've gotten a few free meals by doing this). Remember, YOU are the one paying for the meal, the waitor is being paid to serve it, so you have the right to demand your meal be the way YOU want it. Also, why did you tip the waitor if the service was lousy???

risks losing a finger or two - or at the very least, of getting a fork through the hand. I guess if I was made to feel that rushed, I wouldn't have wanted to hang around either. But as others have said, the manager needs to know about this sort of thing as it's happening.

i would say that's a good time to call the manager over and ask them why your server was boxing up your food when you weren't even done.
and in a case that that... i'm one for tipping but... that would be a crap tip moment.
personlly i'm thinking you should have sent the cake and boxes back
with a very cold statement of "i did NOT say i wanted these yet. when I am ready, I will accept cake and boxes... and it will be a fresh piece of cake"
and a word with the manager

That is terrible, but I would not have let him take my appetizer if I wasn't done with it, nor would I have boxed up my food if I wasn't done. you should have taken control back in thsi situation. Who cares if he asks where his tip is in front of your kids??? Sometimes we have to stand up for ourselves and model that for our children. There are plenty of ways to stand your ground and still be polite.

This is when instead of putting out your payment, you ask for a manager. This kind of pushiness is something I don't tolerate. I don't like being rushed through my meal and I don't care to be rushed for my payment when I'm not ready yet.
This is also one of the time where I wouldn't be leaving a tip, but I would be explaining to the manager *why* no tip was left.
