Repeated phone calls, no one is there and no message is left

Posted Sun November 22, 2009 2:12 pm, by Chris G. written to JP Morgan Chase

This company calls my phone from 210-586-0050 several times a day. It's my cell phone so it costs me money when I answer. When I do there is no one there, just some popping and clicking. If I don't answer they never leave a message. When I call the number back it wants me to enter an account number but I don't have one.

They call at least three times a day every day.

Stop calling me or at least have someone that will be on the line when I answer the phone.

I am an investigator with the law firm of Meyer & Associates and am
investigating a potential case against Chase Bank. If you have
experienced unwanted calls on your cell phone and would like to assist
in our investigation please call Shelly at 614-384-7030 or email
shelly@dmlaws.com.

Seems it may be from Chase Bank collections

oo yea that could be someone trying to call a previous number-owner

i'd recommend not answering it, or even blocking the number if you
can

also... while you're at it, check out https://www.donotcall.gov/

you can also add cell phones and skype numbers

Chris G.,
HarleyCat is a few steps ahead of me on this one.
Try this site to see what other folks are saying about calls from that
number:

Good luck.

How long have you had that cell phone number? The number calling you
is Chase credit card collections. At one time someone who owes Chase
money either had that cell phone number or provided it fraudalently.

Does your cell phone provider allow you to block individual numbers?
If so, that might be a way to get them to stop.
