Bass Pro Shops Ruins Christmas Surprise

I have ordered thousands of dollars of product from your company over the last seven years. I am a Bass Pro Rewards member as well as a MBNA Bass Pro Visa account holder.

In my seven years of ordering from BP I have never received any shipment boxed alone (with just shipping labels attached to actual merchandise box). Today I did. Rather, my husband did- letting him know exactly what I am getting him for Christmas. This is very disappointing--I would have made provisions to have it shipped elsewhere or made sure I answered the door if I was given any notice that my shipment would not be packaged.

I called BP and spoke with Chuck who issued me a $15.00 credit to my account for my trouble and disappointment. This cannot make my husband "unsee" his gift, but given the circumstances, I guess it is a fair compensation.

While I realize some would say I am lucky to be able to order and should always ship to a different address, I would like to point out that that isn't the issue-this is apparently something BP has chosen to change without notifying customers--I have never experienced this before--even with single and/or multiple shipments/packages.

Let customers know when you decide to eliminate shipping *packaging*--give someone notice so that they may hide their purchases or ship to a different address. This lack of customer notification along with limited quantities of items has led me to order from Mack's Prairie Wings in the past and may lead to a full "conversion" from me.

I had placed an order for a comforter set and had ordered it the 9th
of Dec. 2011, on the 21st I contacted Bass Pro due to the fact it was
a Christmas gift, they told me that due to it being shipped from the
factory they had no idea where my pakage was and assured me I would be
getting it by the 24th, On Dec. 31 I contacted Bass Pro once again and
they told me the same spill, today 01/03/12 I get a call from Bass Pro
and they tell me they r sorry that my pakage was apparently not
shipped by the factory, but they would be happy to place the order
again and would give me a $15.00 credit, I was estatitic that they
were going to give me a whole $15.00 to make up for my ruined
Christmas,I told them to keep their money, and to refund mine asap,so I
will be waiting to see if they can get that right. My advice DO NOT
ORDER anything from bass pro that has to be shipped from the factory,
they use Mickey Mouse factories to order from, and hope it gets to you
if not they will give you $15.00. Learned my lesson H.A.McGhee
