missing hershey's peppermint patties

I purchased a large bag of individually wrapped peppermint patties. I used them as a filler for my sister's birthday gift bag. She loves them. When i opened the packaged i found at least 2 wrappers that were sealed and no pepperming patty inside.

Compensate us for our inconvenience and double check their packaging standards for quality assurance.

From your title I automatically thought "oh no, they're not making
peppermin patties anymore!"

Just call them, they'll send u coupons for a free bag

Aren't these packaged based on weight? not count? I'm fairly certain
that they are. So while ou have two empty wrappers in your bag, they
really weren't ripping you off at all.

Liek a previous poster stated, no process is perfect. But in this
situation its kind of "no harm no foul".

I agree that it is unacceptable to have empty packages in your
purchase. Your complaint is reasonable.

My thought it that they likely have a quality control system in place,
with a certain tolerance level for empty packages. No machine can be
flawless, so likely they consider it to be functioning properly if a
few empty packs are put out by the machine. The probability of getting
one is slim, but getting two is likely exceptionally rare.

Hopefully they respond with a coupon or something similar for your
next purchase.

Theres got to be at least 20 little patties in each bag, and they cost
about $3.00 a bag, thats only about .15 cents each (approximately)

Is it worth that much to ask for compensation?

It might not be the dollar amount by Nate. Tue February 9, 2010 @ 9:26 PM
