False advertising on state rebate

Hi,
I purchared a Kenmore 22.4 Bottom-freezer Refrigerator on April 1, 2010 (order# 134729050). I then filled out the NJ State rebate form for $75. A few days later the state informed me that I would not receive any rebate because Sears did not participate. The State said that Sears wanted to give the rebate themselves and that they did not want to be part of the State Rebate deal. I have two problems with this:
1. I never got any $75 rebate from Sears.
2. Sears had been sending me emails at least once a week since January saying that the NJ State Rebate was coming in April, and they would help me file. Well I got no help filing, and then was told that Sears is "an invalid retail participant". This seems like false advertising to me.
Somehow I think Sears owes me $75.
Sincerely,
Frank O.
Credit me the $75 that I should have received from NJ. I would have received this credit if I never believed Sears emails, and just bought a fridge from another retailer. No, I trusted what Sears said, and because of that I lost out on the rebate
