Drippy Sippy Cups from Gerber

My pediatrician recommended my son start using a sippy cup. At almost six months old he will only drink out of Gerber bottles, so I decided to purchase a Gerber sippy cup. I brought it home, hand washed it, filled it half way with water, and where the lid and top plastic meet it drips water.
I have the receipt but not the original packaging. So I'm not sure how to return it to Target. I'd love a sippy cup that didn't leak! I have been very happy with ALL of the Gerber products I have purchased with this one exception. Not the normal high standard that I find with the rest of your company's products.

Target won't do exchanges or returns anyway.

you may want to consider forgetting target
and just writing to gerber themselves
that way you can also tell them what's wrong with the design etc

So return it to target. They won't require the original packaging.

Not always. I was very lucky with my son. He took pretty much any nipple/bottle that was given to him. However, both my sister and a close friend had trouble with their children. My sister spent nearly $200 on various bottles and nipples trying to find one that worked. Her daughter literally would not feed out of certain ones. Ditto for my friend's child.
I really wonder what mothers did before there were options.

If we are talking nipples, yes, I dont disagree.
But we are talking about Sippy Cups.
Mrs Rowdy and I have been foster parents for 15 years and had almost 150 children come in and out of our house, many of which babies and toddlers.
Ive fed many many of them. Many of these are malnourished and hungry, and they take what you give them. Many foster children are happy just staying with you. I have many sippy cups and have never had a child not drink out of it.
RED, just because I never mentioned it, doesnt mean I dont have experience. I'm all about children. Every holiday I encourage people to give to toys for tots, to see children in hospitals, to visit nursing homes, to visit the troops as they come home. Some of which I knew personally, because they lived with me!
Notice every post about toys, I say to donate to a cause, the same with clothes.
Good Day

He will only drink out of Gerber Bottles?
Do you think he really knows the difference?
Does he look for the logo? If he doesnt see the logo he lets the bottle slip out of his hand and pouts?
At 6 months he has just learned to crawl, but he knows the difference between a gerber bottle and another brand?
Amazing!
Good Day
