the wonderful lunch ^^

I went with a friend and her daughter for lunch at your North Roan Street Arby's restruant on thursday of last week and wanted to share my experience.

we ordered a child's meal for the daughter (age 2), a couple of roast beef and chedders for my friend, a chicken salad sandwich, and 2 fries and 2 drinks all for eating in.

I stood patiently at the counter waiting for our food while my friend went to get a table and sit since the toddler was getting cranky. While waiting I saw that they had cheese sticks and waited patiently for the cashier to come back since she had gone off to fill other orders (drive through was a wreck...long lines before I even walked in).

they got most of my order and appologized for the wait on the fries since they had to fry up a new batch (no worries there since I love hot fresh fries). Another couple came up to the counter while I was waiting and ordered and I was asked what I was waiting for, and politely told them that I was waiting on my chicken sandwich.

I also mentioned that I would like to add an order of cheese sticks to my order, and the manager appologized profusely since the lady making the orders in the back seemed to of forgotten my sandwich, and gave me 10% off my cheese sticks, and told me she would bring them out as soon as they were ready if I wanted to take our food and sit back down.

I didn't catch the manager's name but I would like to thank her and her employees for the wonderful service they gave even under the pressure and shouting from other customers about orders that were taking so long.

Wow! Imagine that! Being polite and understanding gets you what you
want faster than flinging poo throwing tantrums. I always thought
that was just an urban myth.

When the customer is calm it makes it so much easier on the staff to
correct what is going on. And it also makes management alot more
generous when it comes to discounts and freebies.

situation.
