sometimes i wonder if the software for this site has a sick sense of humor...
I've already seen an add about the bible and the number 666 as well as an ad about learning about the Antichrist.
O_o
Google, you're weird sometimes.

Separation of Church and Cable. Seriously, there are SO MANY OTHER REASONS why Comcast is The Anti-Christ, couldn't you choose a better one about which to bitch?

If Comcast is the Anti-Christ, then Time Warner must be Christ, right? (or maybe DirectTV?)

I guess your religion is not that important in your life. If any business is violation your religion and you keep doing business with them, then who is really at fault here?

Every year, my one Christmas wish is the same: A life uncomplicated enough that I could afford to give a crap whether Comcast abbreviated Christmas to Xmas or if the Wal-Mart cashier greeted me with a "Merry Christmas" or a "Happy Holidays."
Yet another year disappointed.

Actually by putting in X they are keeping Christ in Christmas, if you'd even remember that the New testament is mostly from greek manuscritps, which often used abbreviations X was originally the Greek letter Chi which was used as a shorthand for Christ since scribes were all about that for some crazy reason.
Don't believe me, just google Chi-Rho (the United Church's symbol) and aside from the thing that looks like a P tell me what the other part is, yup an X.
And now you know why X-mas is just as legitimate.

Perhaps you need a bit of education. Or, perhaps you enjoy going through life playing “holier than thou”. If you would like to know the TRUTH rather than continuing to operate on prejudice and fear (something that is truly ANTI-Christ) go to this site and read about the origin of Xmas. HINT: this is not something new, modern or thought up by secularists.

Read some of these other posts here. Do a little research. Hold God and Christ in your heart but stop wearing your faith on your sleeve as if you are somehow superior to the rest of humanity.
Do you put this much energy into helping the innocent and less fortunate folks around you? Christ did.
Are you tolerant of those who do not beleive the same things as you? Christ was.
Do you try to bring joy and comfort to those who need it? Christ did.
Maybe a little more of that sort of behavior and a little less of this harsh critism based on the way a cable company spells something might enrich your life.

everything have to be like this at the holidays?
Look, it's great that you have your faith and you are so strongly supportive of it, no one can take that away from you. But calling other people and whole companies out for not thinking like you do and not doing things the way you think they should is very UN-Christian. Especially at this time of year!
Somehow, I don't see Jesus getting all testy because they called it an "Xmas" special instead of "Christmas." I mean, c'mon! He shares his birthday with a big fat man in a red velvet suit for crying out loud!
As other's said, it could have been a space constraint thing. Regardless of the reason, they can call it whatever they want, but it really doesn't matter. There are FAR better things to be concerned with at this time of the year.

Please, don't get me and a lot of other people started on the "Christ in Christmas" thing, it's a complete can of worms.

In Greek, the first letter the name of "Christ" is an X (called "chi"), not a C. Not to disparage your faith or anything, but you might want to do some research on the history of your own faith before declaring something or someone to be Anti-christian.

I was going to provide a similar post as the first, so I'm glad someone beat me to it!
I believe the Catholic Church still uses X in "Christmas" at certain times.

Actually, using "X" in the phrase has been around a LONG time, almost as long as Christianity itself.
The first letter in the Greek word for Christ is "Chi" which is represented by the Roman character "X". You may not like it, but it isn't a modern invention to somehow remove Christ from Christmas. If Comcast were truly anti-Christ, why would they be showing any Christmas programming at all?
My guess is that they were limited as to how many character they had to work with, so choose that abbrivation.
