Verizon Wireless Upgrade Policy

On 12/24, I went to upgrade my broken phone that I have had for almost 2 years. My upgrade date was not until 1/7. The store insisted that I pay full retail for the phone and then return it after 1/7 and get a new phone at my upgrade price. This is completely ridiculous! Why can't you just do an early upgrade? It's less than 30 days before my upgrade date anyway!

Now I have to return to the store and return the phone only to get the exact same phone. This is more work for you and more work for me. Verizon used to be all about customer service but I have seen a steady decline over the past year or so. I would like Verizon to make it easier for customers to upgrade phones.

The old phone could no longer be used. I can't go two weeks without a
phone.
