I totally agree, I use to drink pepsi but now I will not touch a pepsi product. I love my God and if you are afraid you are going to offend others for putting it on tere, well you offend me as a customer for taking God away. I can not support anything that does not support our Lord and Savior!

This has already been addressed.
1) It was DOCTOR PEPPER not Pepsi
2) They discontinued the cans in February 2002.
Are you therefore demanding that Pepsi invent time travel to go back to 2001 to stop DR PEPPER from making this can?

Pepsi leaving out "under God" just makes me WANT to buy their product. It's a constant struggle to try to prevent this country becoming a theocracy.

So your teachings of love, compassion, and understanding have taught you to hate and despise a soda pop can? So twisted and sad.....

Did you know that "Under God" was not originally part of The Pledge of Allegiance? "Under God" was added in the 1950's
Seriously, are ya'll so insecure about your religion that you have to threaten to not buy a product because they leave it off?
And offending Christians? My experience has been that Christians have absolutely no problem with offending people of other/no religion.. So you can dish it out but you can't take it?

Oh, but that's not the worst of it. See, Dr, Pepper (not Pepsi) put out their devil can with only three words from the pledge on it: "One nation, indivisible." Which means not only did they leave God off the can, they also left off a whole bunch of other perfectly good words from the Pledge as well, including but not limited to: Pledge, Allegiance, United States of America, Republic, Stands, Liberty, Justice and All. What kind of un-American heathens do they have running Dr. Pepper? They don't even believe in the United States of America, or liberty, or justice, or even STANDING?
It's just about time that the Dr. Pepper company be forced out of the country under the U DONT LIKE IT THAN LEEVE act of 2002. I hope the Dr. Pepper management responsible for this moral atrocity likes it better in Soviet Russia, where they will be forced to go. Good riddance. We'll drink our Mr. Pibb and like it, just like the founders envisioned.

Magical sky wizards probably don't care much about whether they're identified on pop cans, tshirts, car bumpers, etc.

I don't want anything referring to god on any product I buy from a supermarket. If Pepsi puts anything about god on their cans, then I'M going to boycott them.
Thankfully, I'll win on this one as Pepsi isn't about to put any religious drivel on their products.

It's exclusionary to those who do not worship the christian god and also to those christians who do not worship their god in the same way. Every time I hear it (which is almost daily since I work in the public school system and every morning starts with both the US Pledge and the Texas pledge, which was amended a couple years ago to include god)) I am reminded that I am not considered a 'real' American or at least not a very good one because I do not believe in their god.
There is nothing saying christians can't worship as they choose, up to and including the pledge of allegiance, but there is something that says their world view can't be privileged over everyone else's. That would be the Constitution, which does not establish a state religion, no matter what some people want to believe.

Your opinion is that God shouldn't be included and others have the opinion that he should. Both are opinions and neither change the fact that He is included. If you feel that way every time you hear the pledge you must feel the same way every time you get paid or go to buy something as well since money says "In God we trust". I don't see either one as a reminder that I don't worship the way other Christians do. I simply see it as a reminder that I'm in America where we are free to worship who we want, how we want.

FALSE RUMOR ALERT: PATRIOTIC CANS: You may have received an erroneous message about a "patriotic can" that Pepsi allegedly produced with an edited version of America’s Pledge of Allegiance. The truth is, Pepsi never produced such a can. In fact, this is a hoax that has been circulating on the Internet for more than nine years. A patriotic package used in 2001 by Dr Pepper (which is not a part of PepsiCo) was inappropriately linked to Pepsi. Thanks for giving us the chance to clarify the situation and please feel free to share this message with anyone else who may have received the erroneous email. Details of the hoax can be found at http://www.snopes.com/politics/business/undergod.asp

He may be your lord and saviour, but he's certainly not mine. You are free to buy or not buy any products you wish. It's statements like this that just turn people off religion.

I wish this rumor would just die. Year after year, it creeps back.
I am glad I am secure in my own faith that I do not bother with such things. I don't care what other people think about my religion. I am happy practicing my faith and leaving everyone else alone about it.

What exactly does your god have to do with soda? Personally I find it offensive to see god splattered across things (t-shirts, bulletin boards, soda cans, bags, towels, vehicles, etc) that have absolutely nothing to do with one's internal, private beliefs or hopes. My truck doesn't know god and neither does my soda and I prefer it to remain that way.
