well I was looking for an excuse not to buy Pepsi products anymore,
now I this is it. Pretty weak saying you don't won't to offend
someone! Stand up for what is right! Well you have grossly just
offended me and probably thousands of other Christians out there. Big
Monetary mistake! We are a huge population! You have so many friends
out there you could not use one more! God is awesome! Well I am

I totally agree, I use to drink pepsi but now I will not touch a pepsi
product. I love my God and if you are afraid you are going to offend
others for putting it on tere, well you offend me as a customer for
taking God away. I can not support anything that does not support our
Lord and Savior!

This has already been addressed.

1) It was DOCTOR PEPPER not Pepsi

2) They discontinued the cans in February 2002.




Are you therefore demanding that Pepsi invent time travel to go back
to 2001 to stop DR PEPPER from making this can?

Pepsi leaving out "under God" just makes me WANT to buy their product.
It's a constant struggle to try to prevent this country becoming a
theocracy.

So your teachings of love, compassion, and understanding have taught

Did you know that "Under God" was not originally part of The Pledge of
Allegiance? "Under God" was added in the 1950's

Seriously, are ya'll so insecure about your religion that you have to
threaten to not buy a product because they leave it off?

And offending Christians? My experience has been that Christians have
absolutely no problem with offending people of other/no religion.. So
you can dish it out but you can't take it?

mouth yet here we have a commenter doing just that plus totally making
fun of the letter writer. Not only are you perfectly fine with that
but you're egging him on!

Why I stopped doing "Week In Review," or even posting on this site all
that much in the first place, based on what's happened here. I know I
mean no harm, you know I mean no harm, and some others here may also
realize I mean no harm, but then there's still others who don't see it
the same way. Which is fine. I get it. I've enjoyed this site over the
years and I didn't want to besmirch it anymore with what some people
took as hostility towards the letter writers. Just because I didn't
mean any harm didn't mean I wasn't causing any.

But since you asked nicely, I'll see what I can do.

Magical sky wizards probably don't care much about whether they're
identified on pop cans, tshirts, car bumpers, etc.

I don't want anything referring to god on any product I buy from a
supermarket. If Pepsi puts anything about god on their cans, then I'M
going to boycott them.

Thankfully, I'll win on this one as Pepsi isn't about to put any
religious drivel on their products.

My only issue with this whole thing (if it were even true) would be
that they intentionally left out part of the Pledge of Allegiance for
what ever reason. There is a reason that God is mentioned in the
Pledge and it doesn't matter if you like it or agree with the reason,
it is still there. I was always taught that the Pledge of Allegiance
is about being an American, not about being Christian. Ofcourse some
people see that as one in the same which is perhaps where the
confusion comes from.

He may be your lord and saviour, but he's certainly not mine. You are
free to buy or not buy any products you wish. It's statements like
this that just turn people off religion.

I wish this rumor would just die. Year after year, it creeps back.

I am glad I am secure in my own faith that I do not bother with such
things. I don't care what other people think about my religion. I am
happy practicing my faith and leaving everyone else alone about it.

Furthermore, I am wondering why you are saying it is a "Christian"
issue. The god that you worship is the same god for numerous
religions.

What exactly does your god have to do with soda? Personally I find it
offensive to see god splattered across things (t-shirts, bulletin
boards, soda cans, bags, towels, vehicles, etc) that have absolutely
nothing to do with one's internal, private beliefs or hopes. My truck
doesn't know god and neither does my soda and I prefer it to remain
that way.
