I guess they don't want my business.

Write a Letter to this Company
I had an appointment with an ADT installer. I told the salesperson that I could not get to my home until 3:45-4:00 P.M. However, I raced the Chicago expressways to find a tag on my door stating the installer left at 3:30 P.M.!
What has happened to customer service with this company? The installer could have called me. I literally risked my neck to get home to this appointment to find a door tag.
I am thinking of going with someone else.

Did you call them to ask why they arrived too early?
And yes, you may have to take a day off for installation. It may suck but it probably sucks less than having a house broken into?

How is calling YOU supposed to help? I supposed you could call the police yourself. If like Rowdy said you are able to receive the calls. My home is monitored for fire as well as unlawful entry. I like that someone would call the fire department if the alarm goes off and not waste valuable time trying to call me.

You can program the system to call multiple numbers. My husband's cell is programmed in to my inlaws system so when their alarm goes off, it calls them and my husband. They took a cruise last year and while they were gone, their alarm went off (BIL set it off) and the system called my husband. The system is connected to your home landline and it uses your landline to make the calls when the alarm is set off. So if our alarm or my inlaws alarm goes off, there is no confusion as to who's alarm has been set off. If its our alarm that has been set off, our landline# is on the caller ID. If its my inlaws landline calling, its their landline on the caller ID. By having a system that calls YOU and not a call center, there is no delay in calling the police. I set the alarm off atleast once a week, and within 5 seconds, our cell phones are ringing. This system is used by many of my husbands co-workers on the police force!

Do it.
This is a company that will not take the safety and security of customers seriously.
Perhaps there is a locally-owned company that will do a more user-friendly job.
