Whole Wheat Options!!!!

I would like to have the option of whole wheat buns. I am very careful about what I eat, and I am particularly frustrated when I need to go to a fast food restaurant and can't get a sandwich with whole wheat. Subway barely does that. I want to be able to go to McDonald's and not ruin my diet by eating white bread. WHOLE WHEAT!!!!!!!!

Whole wheat buns will not make things magically healthy. If you are
very careful about what you eat, why are you eating at McDonalds?

My dear man, DON"T GO THERE. If on a serious health, weight loss
diet, chose another establishment. Or make your own food at home.
Leave MCs for a special treat on occasion. Save $$$ and be confident
in the diet in your own house.

I'd be more concerned about what is on the bun.

I don't think it's likely they will re-vamp their menu in this way
anytime soon!

McDonalds healthy eating? Are you serious? No one with any sense
actually believe that eating at McDonalds is healthy unless all you
eat is a plain salad and a water.

did you know... only two items on the entire menu have no added sugars: diet coke, and water. even salads have added sugar. by Chadg Wed July 13, 2011 @ 10:18 AM

This doesn't surprise me - they ALWAYS add sugar to their "healthy" options by PepperElf Wed July 13, 2011 @ 11:08 PM

If you are on a serious diet, you should not be ANYWHERE near a
McDonald's. (for any reason).

Healthy Eating at McDonalds? Even if they had whole wheat buns...I am
thinking that it wont solve the healthy aspect of the food. Have you
seen the calorie counts of that stuff? I can assure it its NOT all
from the bun hun!

A friend of mine is on a health food kick and carries her own homemade
whole grain buns with her as well as her own organic low sodium
ketchup. The fast food joints around here have no problem fixing her a
meal with her custom ingredients. You might try carrying your own as
well.

If you are are going to McDs, you are NOT "very careful about what
[you] eat." "not ruin [your] diet"? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

I'm annoyed by all these people who think these junk fast food places
should improve the menu. Here's a clue: EAT ELSEWHERE.

Whole wheat wont help if it comes from McDonalds. They already add
sugar to their bread, Im sure they would do the same if it was wheat
or not.

do you mean additional sugar? by fairywithfangs Tue July 12, 2011 @ 5:17 PM

Perhaps you should make a nice Veggie burger hold the mayo, extra
vegetables on wheat at home.

good day

want to go to McDonalds and eat healthy?

I just don't see it happening at McDonald's. I would suggest one of
their salads with grilled chicken, their oatmeal, a fruit and yogurt
parfait, or the apple and walnut salad.

as well as other restaurants, offer plain grilled chicken breast. I
know when I've been on diets previously, I've ordered grilled chicken
with lettuce, tomato and no mayo. It's much healthier than the
alternatives. Don't know how much whole wheat buns would go over with
the public as a whole however.
