Penalized

eBay has selected myself and others who fall in the catagory of "low feedback count". eBay says if your feedbacks do not match up with you sales, you will be penalize by witholding your monies for a long period of time with a few exceptions. I was selected because I have had 50 sales and only 38 feedbacks. Now eBay is witholding my money for a period of 21 days or more. They said my case will be reviewed on Jan 6, 2012. That is wrong! I cannot control feedbacks except to request that the buyer please write a feedback for my transaction. I do not always get a feedback and it is not in my control. So now I am penalized for that. I don't work for eBay, I work for myself. If I was employed by eBay I could understand the feedback numbers. I am eBay's customer! I shouldn't have to be responsible for the buyers feedback. They, eBay should be proactive and request feedback/suvey from the buyers. That way they can review those feedbacks and improve their services to both sellers and buyers.

They, eBay should be proactive and request feedback/suvey from the buyers.

I think you need to check your feedback a bit more. I have over 3000
positive, and I think only about 10 buyers / sellers didnt leave any
feedback that I sent an email requesting it.

Most people leave it pretty quickly when they recieve the item, or
sellers post it right after I post mine.

Small sellers have been saying the same thing since they instituted
the policy. If you're not moving a thousand widgets a day they just
plain don't care. As you mentioned, they're forgetting who their
actual customers are. The sellers.

Ebay has expressly said that they're moving toward only selling modern
mass-produced crap in large quantities, from sellers who sell in large
quantities. Meanwhile, they forget the smaller sellers they're
chasing are also their buyers, who if they can't sell on Ebay may well
buy elsewhere also. It's already happening.
