I visited the walmart store in Blue Springs Mo today 01/29/12 abour 6 pm and had purchased an electronic item it was the last one in the store and the box had clearly been opened I had talked with an eletronics person and a manager about the product and what the return policy would be if there would have been anything wrong with the item I was informed that I could bring it back in and exchange if there was anything wrong I had got it home and plugged it in and the remote in paperwork were missing so I took it back to the store and told them I would be willing to exchange for something else or just a remote for the item so I went and got a similar item that was more money and took it to the service desk when I got there I was told there was nothing they could do to look up my reciept (the same cashier was still there two hours later) and could not look up my card I had got it on another manager came out of the room and said the same thing he was so rude about the whole thing and said that sicnce I had opened there was nothing I could do without the reciept or my ID I saw the same manager that helped me and cashier talking when I had left they remembered me and talking with me and he told me that they could look up my receipt and would exchange it no problem the same man that told me theres nothing at all that can be done walked over and again was very rude about this said no theres nothing we can do it is walmarts policy not something they chose and walked away!! Id like to know why one manager said theres nothing they can do but the other one said that he could cause the same cashier was there and it was the same day (within 2 hours) so we knew a time and register.... Very disappointed with my experience at Walmart tonight I should not have to deal with this problem when it was no fault of my own

I want Walmart to quit with their "judgement" on everyone who walks in the door all I wanted was a item that had what it said it was supposed to in the box or one similar!!!

everything was there? That would have saved you a lot of time. It's
really not "judgement" to expect a customer to keep a receipt for a
couple of hours.

I'm going to ask the obvious question -- why didn't you save your
receipt for 2 hours knowing there might be a problem with the
purchase? Would have saved a bunch of headaches.
