Disgruntled Employee

Posted Thu February 2, 2012 3:27 pm, by Adrienne M. written to Gymboree Corporation

Write a Letter to this Company

I am an employee of The Rockford IL store..My hours have been cut numerous times. Today was the last straw when I realized that I am working all day on Friday without a break. Apparently they have once again decided to cut a 3 hours shift that would have made it possible for me to take a break..Not only is this illegal, but unfair..I am ready to call the labor board on this company! Help!

I want the scheduling to be fair! if you cannot afford to pay an employee minimum wage for a 3 hour shift so supervisor can take a break then the doors need to shut forever! Enough is enough!

I understand your frustration. What are YOU doing to drum up more
business.Their success depends on you and your performance. Think out
side the box, and get invovled. Don't be "poor me". Make it happen and
turn it around. The results will not only benefit you but might
re-energize your passion for the business.

It sounds like the three-hour shift that got cut is another employee,
someone they'd work a short shift and also help cover someone's break
during that time.

According to your own state's labor laws, ". Illinois has no law
regarding breaks"

So exactly what law are you trying to get them in trouble over?
