after all it's their property.
the bigger issue was that the driver WAS ALREADY LEAVING. therefore the entire complaint is moot anyway except that she got mad after the fact.
so i still don't see where this merits anything free.
people aren't entitled to freebies just because they get mad

As long as there are no signs and they are parked legal and are paying customers they can refuse to move and the store can't do anything about it. I can just imagine someone calling to get a vehicle towed because they didn't move from a legal parking space when asked to. I agree that the driver doesn't desrve anything free just because they got mad after the fact. If it had been me I would have questioned it right then and I know a few people that would have gone back inside and ordered again if they knew they were parked legaly. Either way as long as the exchange was plesent I do see how the driver should get anything free. Then again there are very few times I agree with someone when they ask for something free.

I know the parking lot you are talking about. Had you parked closer to Slinky Action Zone, nothing would have been said to you. Had I seen your bus parked in front, I too would have assumed kids were inside. This has nothing to do with school rivalry! I think you're taking this the wrong way and deserve nothing in return.

Whenever I see a school bus outside of a restaurant I assume the place will be packed with school aged children hopped up on field trip excitement and I keep going.
I'm sure I'm not the only person who has that thought roll through their mind and decides not to do business there that day.
I don't really see what the big deal is since you were getting ready to leave....

You said you were leaving, so why do you need to be 'encouraged' to come back as a customer?

So they asked you politely to move the bus. But you were leaving anyway so it didn't matter.
But they somehow owe you something for this?
I don't see it. Just because your temper got riled does not mean anyone owes you anything.

OMG stop looking to be offended where no offense was intended, will ya? The manager probably didn't want potential customers to be scared off -- if they saw the bus, they'd be thinking, "Oh, crap, there are 40 school kids in there, let's go somewhere else."
So get over it, move forward, and get the chip off your shoulder.
