Burnt out motor on the Montel Williams Health Master Blender

I bought a Montel Williams Health Master Blender about a year and a half or so, and was very happy with this product until the engine burned out while using it, on Feb. 18th.

The over load switch malfunctioned and did not turn the engine off. Smoke went everywhere and caused a horrible smell.

I turned the blender off and waited for about an hour hoping when it cooled off it would work again, but the engine was burned out.

I contacted the company the next day by e-mail asking them to please send me a shipping label so that I could send it back to the company and have free repairs done on the Health Master.

I told them I did not want to pay to have it fixed because I bought this product in good faith and thought it would have lasted for many, many years.

I believed in this product, and told several other friends how happy I was with it. Now look what I have to tell them.

Tristar has not contacted me at all and now I am a very frustrated and dissatisfied customer, plus I am now without my blender.

For not contacting me and working with me on this issue I now would like Tristar Products to send me a brand new Health Master and restore my faith in this product and their services.

Having a celebrity endorsement would deter me from buying any product.
18 months sounds about right for something with Montel's name on it.

I expected as much - I was still kind of in shock at the idea that one
of these "Seen on TV" appliances would have ANY kind of warranty, let
alone one that was supposed to completely cover the motor. Shipping
charges or not.

that you should not pay for repairs on an appliance you've used for 18
months?

Very few appliances have warranties outside of a year (if even that -
most are like 90 days!) and to demand that they 1) fix it free or 2)
give you a brand new one is both illogical and unwarranted.

according to the website the motor has a lifetime guarantee(?). i
would keep calling till you get someone to help you. i never believed
emailing anyone get any results.
