AMERICAN MEDICAL

Posted Mon March 5, 2012 1:03 pm, by JULIE K. written to American Medical Association

Write a Letter to this Company

Not sure this is the right company, but here goes. I told them not to call my house anymore. They are listed on the caller i.d. as reminder for you. I have told them several times on different days not to call, but they continue. The phone number is 253-246-8542. I want them to stop. I get several calls a day, some times as many as 20 in three days. They will not stop!

MAKE THEM STOP IF THEY ARE PART OF YOUR COMPANY. IF NOT PLEASE FORWARD TO THE APPROPRIATE PERSON AND TELL THEM TO STOP CALLING. I THOUGHT THERE WAS A LAW THAT IF YOU TELL THEM TO STOP, THEY ARE REQUIRED TO.I WILL REPORT THEM TO THE PHONE COMPANY IF NECESSARY.

If you can't even be bothered to find out who it is that's calling
you, why should the American Medical Association have to do your work
for you?

Is it possibly American Medical Response (AMR), the ambulance company?
If they're billing you for medical transport, they have every right
to call you.

I'd suggest verifying who it is that's calling you, then address it
with them.

https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx?panel=2

Go there to file a complaint.

But REMEMBER - Just because you say "don't call me again" does not
ENTIRELY mean they cannot. Some organizations are exempt, and this
may not apply if you're talking about debt collectors.

Also http://800notes.com/ - go there to research the phone number if
you don't know who's calling you.

Here you go. According to other users it's Hellcom whomever that is

just as being angry doesn't give customers a right to beat up on
employees, being angry doesn't give phone owners a right to resort to
audio attacks

when they are belligerent and abusive and won't do as they are
directed, sometimes you have to resort to drastic measures.

My personal favorite, though, was my Dad putting the receiver in the
freezer on a solicitor who kept calling repeatedly...

...and then closing the door and walking away - leaving the live call
to listen to the sound of falling ice! LOL

"dramatic measures" =/= causing physical injury to others and never should by PepperElf Fri March 9, 2012 @ 12:36 AM

but if they didn't stop calling when you told them and you aren't even
certain that this is the correct company, is it really realistic to
think that they will "pass along" the info?

I would call my phone company. There are ways to make certain numbers
blocked from calling you. They can advise how best to make them stop.
