Defective tires

On March 4,2011 I purchased 4 AMG Michelin tires at Mercedes Benz of Morristown ,N.J.for my Mercedes GL 320 and had the wheels aligned at the time of purchase.I complied with all of the recommended maintenance recommended by Mercedes of Morristown including tire rotation. On March 12,2012 I took my car in for maintenance and was informed by Willie Caldwell,my Mercedes advisor, that I needed 4 new tires.I will enclose documentation showing that my tires were worn down prematurely. In the past Michelin tires I purchased were durable. My vehicle never was never off road. This winter was the mildest in many years.

I would like Michelin North America to investigate this matter. The four tires I purchased should have lasted at least twice as long and appear to be defective.I feel some type of compensation is in order.

I don't understand. Tires usually come with warranty that covers a
certain amount of miles. If you have all the maintenance
documentation, why didn't you submit this as a warranty claim or ask
your adviser to do it for you?

The advisor whom you referred to by his full name.....

I'm surprised he didn't personally contact Michelin for you.

My parents don't drive a luxury car. But when their minivan needed
new tires too early the mechanic they spoke to so politely.... he gave
them a good discount on the new tires. And then he reported the
Michelin wanted the old ones back to review why they had worn down so
quickly.

I'm surprised that an agent for a luxury car is doing less than what a
mechanic for a regular car did...
