Browsing DVD titles with a streaming-only account

Using a little google-fu search with the following line:

site:netflix.com movienamehere

That pulled up results which led me to the page

dvd.netflix.com/search

I was able to search directly from that page or indirectly using
google

If you go to the website and search for specific titles, it will tell
you whether they are available on DVD. I just added the DVD plan
myself a couple of months ago, but before that I could search for a
title and if it wasn't available for instant play it would say
underneath the title something to the effect of "DVD Only". I haven't
found a movie I've wanted that isn't available on DVD though, so I
can't imagine it wouldn't be worth it for you to sign on for a month
and see. Heck, it's only $8/month which in my household is about 3-4
Redbox movies since we typically don't take them back after a day.

Wow - I'm surprised they don't allow someone to see what they have
before signing up, good feedback. You'd think with their recent
issues, they'd be doing all they could to get customers.

If you want to stream and add 1 dvd out at a time option it will be
$15.98 a month. You get a free month if your new. I have the
streaming with 2 dvd's out at a time for about $19.98 a month ($22.00
after taxes). Before I added the dvd options I could view all the dvd
titles available which prompted me to add it.

Good Suggestion. I agree, why take the risk?

The only way to do it without paying is if you know someone who has
the dvd option on their account and is willing to let you look or look
for you.

If you're looking for specific recent releases, I'd suggest Redbox. I
had the full Netflix until they did the change to separate charges for
streaming & DVDs. I've since started renting actual DVDs from Redbox.
$1/night, a little more if it's BluRay, but I get them when I want
them, not when Netflix mails them to me.

nope, I had the same problem when I wanted to add streaming. There
was no way to preview the selections before you buy to see if its even
worth it.

Your basically going to have to risk the $7.99
