Hi,

I am a long time Nordstrom consumer, I was at the Grove in los Angeles , and since the sales lady sees me there often suggetsed i apply for the Nordstrom Signature Visa.

I have a fraud alert on my report so i oppened the report up and applied.

To my syrprise, i was denied.

Since I know my credit is impeccable, i didnt say much , i left and called the credit department.

after a couple of days of verification.

They approved me with a 5 k limit and a whopping 23% interest rate.

My equifax Fico is 735 , i have three inquiries on my report i gross 140 k a year, no derogatory, and 6% utilization.

Why sucha low limit and high Interest.

it doesnt matter really , i pay my cards in full every month.

Since no one was able to answer in credit , i thought i would write to you.

feel free to contact me if you hae any questions regading my experience.

it was not all that bad, i realize the extra precaution Banks need to take with fraud alert.

My compliments to mr Byron in Colorado credit and Eric in California .

They saved the day.

Respectfully.

The problem could be the 6% utilization. You barely use the credit
cards you have now, why do you need another.

All store credit cards have high interest rates. I remember when I
worked for Staples. The credit application stated clearly that the
interest rate was 22%. hardly anyone ever read that part. It doesn't
matter how good your credit score is, the interest rate is the same.
