dear sirs,
we purchased a wolfgang puck coffee maker $99.99 that worked correctly for the 1st few weeks but then abruptly started dripping hot coffee all over the pot ,counter, floor etc. thank god the baby was not in the kitchen. i cant tell you how many times i was burned. you watch it, think all is well but go to grab the pot and scalding coffee goes flying off the top. well we found the reciept, went to dillards today 4/13/2012 @ about 11:30am az time the store @ arrowhead mall in glendale az where the associate was synpathetic & started the refund process now mind you we did not want $ we had found a new coffee maker @ dillards online same price and just wanted a straight across trade. but we purchased the maker in feb so our reciept was old and he had to call a manager, when she came she was already shaking her head no. well we tried to state the problems and she kept interupting asking for the box we did not save because never have we ever had a problem with dillards merchandise EVER! until now, this woman was so rude she was treating us like we had stolen or were trying to steal from her! at one point when we were talking she simply walked away! when she returns she just stood there not talking just staring so we took our piece of crap wolfgang puck and left. i have been online and amazon has the most terrible reviews on this maker and the most apologetic refunds its sad when a faceless online store treats its customers better than a well known, what?, 50yr old company? does dillards really need to steal $100.00 from their loyal customers? please you need to send your managers to customer service training because your customers are not criminals and youe employees do not own the store

i would like dillards to refund the coffee maker wolfgang puck thermal 12 cup programable $99.99 + tax then talk to the manager that was on duty Arrowhead mall Dillards glendale az approx 11:30am 4/13/2012

You say you have the receipt. Have you tried contacting the
manufacturer of the coffee maker? Just because Dillards won't refund
your money doesn't mean that the manufacturer can't exchange it for a
new one for you. I'm sure it's still under warranty.

E.C. hit the nail on the head. Whenever I run into an issue returning
a faulty product at the store, I usually turn to the manufacturer to
solve the issue. Especially since it's defective and likely still
under warranty, like E.C. said, I'm sure you'll have no problem
getting the manufacturer to get you a replacement. The manufacturers
can also inform you of any known issues with particular models of
items or possible recalls. They tend to be a lot more helpful.

They also tend to provide something resembling customer service by The Original Nethead Fri April 13, 2012 @ 5:48 PM
