Serious Issues With QVC Customer Service

Write a Letter to this Company
Two weeks ago, I attempted to use a highly promoted product from QVC, one of their Cook's Essentials Pressure Cookers...for just the fourth time in the two years I owned it. I put the lid on the cooker BEFORE I even plugged it in, so the cooking process had not even started.
Inside was a very expensive cut of meat, for which I remembered I needed to add a couple other ingredients BUT....I couldn't get the lid off!! My room-mate and neighbor also couldn't, my neighbor being an engineer and handy-man. If HE couldn't, it WASN'T coming off. I HAD TO THROW THE WHOLE THING IN THE TRASH.
I explained this to QVC's customer service thru their email system online.
They replied with some ridiculous excuse that no refund or replacement was possible because that particular model was long gone, but yet in the same email made it sound as if they would be able to do it if I had sent it back.
That makes no sense. Based on their reply-- to avoid backing up the junk they're selling-- what difference does 10 days make if they said it can't be refunded cuz that model doesn't exist?!!!
But TODAY was the clincher!!! When they sent me another response to my telling them they were making no sense and double-talking to me......they had the audacity to suggest I go back in the trash to retrieve it.
OMG. I don't know how they run things at their house but I don't hold on to trash for 2 weeks!!!!!!
I'm funny that way...it could be the stench and/or the maggots that hasten my taking the trash out every couple of days or sooner.
This is just wrong. And...after being a loyal QVC customer for at least 10 years, until recently when it seems I have to send 50% of what I order back to them due to defects on delivery....it was the last straw.
But the trash thing takes the cake.
I hope your readers see this complaint if they were thinking of doing business with QVC.
Do some personnel inventory with their Customer Service department.
This kind of response to my concerns is nothing short of DISTURBING

i see they've replied to you ...
i'd like to know however what kind of warranty covers something that's in the trash already. kinda hard to prove it's broken if it's already trashed.

Always keep the evidence. It wouldn't have been a big thing. Maggots and such could have been avoided, to further your complaint.Freeze it, photograph it, record it.All the best.

I threw away some money awhile ago at the dog track. Can I now ask them for a refund?

"Thanks to safety valves in the lid, you can't accidentally open the cooker while it's still under pressure. Of course, if you do need to get to your food before cooking is completed, the quick-release valve releases the pressure in a controlled stream straight up and harmlessly away from you."
Did you even READ the owner's instruction manual?

I don't know what you're looking for. Maybe they were as confused as I am.
