Very Bad Service AGAIN

Went to Sonic to order my granddaughter a Whackey meal, I had a previous experience with old rubbery fries, but my grandchild wanted Sonic. I ordered her meal and when I arrived home her fries tasted like old oil, stale, and days old. I called to talk to the manager and when someone answer they slammed the phone on the counter and continued to take orders. When I called again they hung up on me.

To make sure food that is processed is as fresh as it should be. McDonalds is someone they should shadow, very polite, food is tasty, and on and on!!!

Who's in charge here. I understand that the young child wanted Sonic,
but I empower you to say "NO". Look for an opportunity to not only
show who's the boss but make it a game, have fun, introduce her to
different options. Make a lunch and go to the park. Visit alternate
restuarants. I take my grandaughter to Macdonalds but also to the
local Tea Shoppe, Italian and Asian resturants. She is 2 and 1/2 and
knows grandma won't put up with bad behaviour. Other then a visit to
the Rain Forest Cafe( melt down, scared of the apes) she is well
behaved and is learning patience, manners and appreciation. All the
best

Your grandaughter wanted to go although you KNEW you hated their
fries, so your grandaughter gets her meal and you ate her fries
anyways? You already knew you hated them. I don't get it.

but your granddaughter demanded that you go there anyways. And you
did. And were disappointed again. Why didn't you just tell her no,
explain why, and go somewhere else?

Sorry. No sympathy.

In no way, shape or form, should ANY business "shadow" McDonald's.

Chipotle, Panera Bread or Cosi - certainly.

If they had a line of people I would have you wait as well.

There used to be a sonic near me and I hated it except for the drinks.
Course I hate McDonalds too so there could be a trend developing
here.

Just an FYI< you have every right to complain about bad food, but
calling during a meal rush (11am - 1 p.m. or 4, 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. or
so) is not the best way to get satisfaction.

So it's kind of a hobson's choice - call during peak hours or call
after the food's already been eaten or tossed. And hanging up on a
customer is rarely a good idea after you've already screwed something
up. Bad stale oil and gummy fries count in my book.

technically the OP did neither. when we say "right away" we mean "before leaving" by PepperElf Fri May 4, 2012 @ 11:56 AM
