Time Warner/RoadRunner Just Does't Get It!

Time Warner/RoadRunner just does't get it. Time Warner Cable lost more than half their customers as a result of pure greed. Each year, during the month of September, Time Warner Cable arbitrarily raised their cable prices without offering any additional service or quality of service.

Along came Directv and Dish Network, offering free equipment and expanded service at competitive prices. Ergo, Time Warner is almost out of business.

Since Time Warner/RoadRunner already had their cables in place, I thought I would try their internet service, even though their monthly charge ($30.95) is twice that of other broadband services ($14.95), such as AT&T.

So what does RoadRunner do? They offer a so-called higher speed service for an additional $5.00 per month.

When I declined to jump at this "special offer", what does RoadRunner do? They slow down my speed believing that this will force me to opt for their "special" $5.00 offer.

Here is what I want you to do, Time Warner/RoadRunner, Keep your $5.00 offer and cancel my account #202-507346204-001, and I'll keep my $30.95, and switch my service to AT&T for $14.95 per month.

Good-bye!

AT&T is horrible. I switched from them to cable (Cobridge).

I went with them because of their promotion pricing. First month, no
promo price I call. Told it takes 3 months to kick in and then I get
some credits. Call 3 months later when no credit and no promo price.
Get told they will make sure it happens. Wait 2 more months, no
promo, no credit, and they impose bandwidth caps. So I cancel my
service.

Also, I had broadband and went with a home phone. They could not
combine the accounts, so I had to pay them two bills, both accounts
are now canceled.

remember - cable itself can be slowed down by the number of users on
the system. the more people on it the slower it goes.

as for prices going up... that's happening everywhere since costs are
going up

I only know this because I know people who had att and went to time
warner etc.

ATT is DSL not Cable, so at most you may get about 2-6 megs/sec
download. Time warner is cable internet and its about 10-15 megs/sec,
their special ups you to 20-25 megs/sec

The best thing to do is use speedtest.com to test your speed.
