Why is it that every time that I have called in to make a payment arrangement or schedule a payment that my phone has been disconnected within 2-3 days? And then I am charged a $15 per line reconnect charge? I can assure you that this has happened at least 8-10 (maybe more)times in the 2 years that we have been with Verizon Wireless and has cost me HUNDREDS of dollars (We have 5 lines). I am disgusted with this company! I guess I should have learned my lesson the 1st time with Verizon!

I used to have Verizon too until they started doing things that were
unethical as well. Most of the time I paid the bill on time but there
were 2 times when I could not pay the bill on time because of other
expenses that came up (car broke down one time and needed new alt.) I
called to make payment arrangements and 3 days later the service was
shut off. I now have t-mobile and I am happy with them!

Pay on-time and it won't be turned off. Read your contract.

If you are having to make payment arrangements, I am guessing that
your payment was late. 8-10 times, I would cut your service off too.

Why is it Verizon's fault that you are not paying your bill on time?
If this has happened 8-10 times in the last two years you need to take
a serious look at your wireless needs and reduce your bill. Maybe you
need to go prepaid.

Other carriers are not going to be sympathetic if you are constantly
past due.

Verizon has an auto pay option, where your bill is paid automatically
every month from any account you wish. It works like magic for me - my
bill gets paid on time every month, and my service has never been cut
off!

that may be the problem.

if you're making payment arrangements to address a late or unpaid
bill, they have every right to turn off service.

if this is costing you hundreds ... i would suggest trying to pay the
bill in full and on time.

Perhaps the answer is not to wait until a couple of days before the
line is due to be cut off to call them and make arrangements for
paying the severely past due bill.
