GLADE AUTO FRESHENER CONTAINS CAUSTIC LIQUID THAT DAMAGES ANY SURFACE IT COMES INTO CONTACT WITH

Recently purchased Glade auto freshener for my brand new car. Unit leaked on my dash radio/navigational electronic panel causing bubbles & ruined it. Also, when I removed the unit & placed it temporarily into a tray until I could get it home & remove it from my car - it leaked there as well & it was sitting upright! The liquid damaged the plastic holder for my building entry badge (my work). Now I am forced to pay to repair my car dashboard facing - & this is a BRAND NEW CAR!

GLADE SHOULD IMMEDIATELY REMOVE THIS PRODUCT FROM THE MARKET OR CHANGE THE CHEMISTRY OF THE LIQUID TO BE SAFE IF IT COMES INTO CONTACT WITH ANY SURFACE. LIQUID IS HIGHLY CAUSTIC & DAMAGES ALL SURFACE AREAS IT COMES INTO CONTACT WITH. THE ONLY SAFE MEDIUM TO STORE THIS LIQUID IN THAT WOULD NOT BE DAMAGED IS GLASS. AS A CONSUMER I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY GLADE CONTINUES TO MARKET THIS PRODUCT. ONCE I COMPLETE A REPAIR ESTIMATE FOR MY DASHBOARD, I WILL BE SUBMITTING A CLAIM FOR RECOVERY OF THE MONEY I AM HAVING TO SPEND TO CORRECT DAMAGE DONE BY THIS ILL-THOUGHT-OUT PRODUCT. FROM THIS POINT FORWARD & UNLESS I RECOVER THE MONEY I AM NOW FORCED TO SPEND TO REPAIR MY CAR, I WILL NEVER AGAIN BUY ANOTHER GLADE PRODUCT....PERIOD....!

Why? What possible reason is there for a company to cease
manufacturng a product that THOUSANDS of people use every day with no
problem?

Oh, that's right, because the needs of the few outweigh the benefits
to the majority! My bad! I forgot!

I don't get it. DO so many people's cars really smell so bad, they
need to add a fragrance to the inside?

Not sure why you are being "forced" to pay for the repair. Is this a
company car? Perhaps you could claim this under your car insurance.

This is the second complaint I've seen on here about this product
doing exactly the same thing. Guess I'll be staying away from them.
Hope they step up and do something about it.
