I have never had a very GOOD experiences here since they have opened. So I take most blame for my recent trip. EVERYTIME I go here everyone who works there is standing around b.s'ing. I have walked about several times and just ordered what I needed online.
For years my good friend who knows a lot about hair care has been telling me to have my color done here. I am brunette and have been wanting to go blonde. I debated for weeks and then decided to give it a shot. I went in to talk to someone I showed the girl what I wanted. I should have known then there would be some issue. She kept saying highlights and I kept saying no full color. Several times this happened and then she said " yeah yeah that's what's we will do" and agreed it would look how I wanted it to look.
So now I have some impending dread and I should have gone with my gut and canceled. I show up for my appointment and she keeps saying highlights I told her I don't care how much full color costs I want it. She did foils in my hair and did almost all of it towards the bottom she started to leave some out and I told her I absolutely did NOT want the bottom to be dark an the top to be light.I had even said this before we began. I know exactly what that " style is" and I didn't want it. She assured me that's now how it would look. I said t several times and she kept making up excuses why she couldn't do the bottom half, and saying it wasn't going to look like it was darker then the top it would just fade in. She seemed to start rushing with everything towards the end.
without fail her next client showed with about 20 minutes before I was done she quickly dryer and curled my hair and sent me on my way. She styled it super curly and big, The bottom half looked fine then but i asked about when i styled it straight, she ASSURED me it would not be visible. She told me the bottom dark was not there and the way it was styled i could not see any darkness at all. She charged me for full color and I left. ( $180.00 after tip )
I was never happy with it however she told me it took a few visits to look how I wanted it so I believed her, being that is a "professional" and I am NOT . I went to another salon and they asked me if I did my hair at home. I went there for a hair cut and by looking at me they assumed I was there to fix what this girl did. Which is very upsetting to me. The color girl at the other salon said she would fix it at the cost of root touch ups because she felt so bad!!! I am not a beautician so when a "professional" tells me it's supposed to be one way and not to worry I believed her. The people at the other salon GATHERED around to look at it. When she pulled my hair up there were SPOTS that were blonder then others that I could not see since it was on the back of my head. She also couldn't believe how dark she left my roots. She said she obviously just didn't leave the root lifter in long enough.
It's pathetic how other people in the industry acted when they saw it! It's a shame.
I feel 100% taken advantage of and at this point i've been walking around for weeks with my hair like this its embarrassing how badly they took advantage of the fact that i know nothing about hair. If i knew anything about color I would do it myself.
I have contacted the store at LEAST 4 times asking to speak to a manager and they have given me excuses saying that the manager is not in and she will get back to me. A MONTH LATER no one has called me back I've been VERY prescient with the store and now for the past week have been going back and forth with corporate. Last week they assured me someone would contact me with in two business days. LAST WEEK. It's now monday and I have an appointment with another salon to have it fixed. Now I am laying out more money then I have to have my hair RE-DONE to fix their errors. My biggest issues is not that i've been walking around looking like a morning. Not that i paid for full color and have OBVIOUSLY not received full color. But now what? I should hold off my new appointment for them to see what they've done and resolve this?! No one is able to give me a straight answer they keep telling me to wait for the store to contact me!!

I would like at LEAST a partial refund. They have completely taken advantage of me and I would like to be assured they don't do this to anyone else. I WILL NOT go back there for them to "FIX" this, I do NOT want them to ever put their hands on my hair again. I just want my money back.

The girl styled it big and curly so I couldn't see the brown
underneath. I didn't see that it wasn't full color until i washed my
hair and wore it straight.

The only reason I didn't do it myself was because I have dark brown
hair, its hard to go from dark to light, I tried it before and it took
several tries which ended up costing close to as much as if i paid
someone.

I have found the people at Sally Beauty to be FAR more helpful. When
my idiot Ex (who has naturally jet black hair) decided to go "blonde"
and made a giant Heatmiser-ish mess of his frizzy curly hair, they
offered suggestions on how to fix it and reminded him that very few
people with naturally dark hair ever look good as a blonde!

But honestly, if the experience has NEVER been good, it calls into
question why you'd even trust them for something that major.

Can you honestly say you're surprised at how it turned out?

I'd suggest going back in person

It's easy to blow someone off on the phone. Much harder to do it in
person.
