Poor Service At Snappers

Posted Tue May 29, 2012 12:00 pm, by Melisa H. written to Snapper's Restaurant

1st they messed up our orders. 2nd the food was cold. Unable to find the server, we located the manager behind the bar. We explained our concerns at which point he directed us back to the server. After stating that he was unavailable, the manager looked at my plate and accused us of eating food that we complained about. However, I explained that I hadn't ordered what he thought I had. At that point the manager took the plate and as I was walking behind him, he approached me and directed me & my family to leave the restaurant. I asked for the owners name and he refused.

Due to the humiliation that my family and I suffered, I am requesting a full refund.

Is this a restaurant that you pay for your food first? Because the
story is missing some detail. Regardless the customer is always right.
And obviously you wouldnt be complaining if it wasnt a horrible
experience.

short of paying a lawyer to press a lawsuit (and the going rate is
usually 150 an hour minimum) ... i don't see how you're going to force
him.

cos the other options i can think of won't be as effective as people
think

- telling all your friends. only effective if you have at least a
thousand who really would boycott for you.

- news. they may reply as we have, no guarantee of a story

- going back. might be worth a try. unless they say that you're
banned and call the police to file trespassing charges

I may be missing something but why did you pay for food that you did
not order? Are you saying you paid for full meals you didn't order
that were left on the table because you were asked to leave the
restaurant for daring to complain? If it came to that I would have
walked out but NOT paid for something I didn't order or want.

Did you eat all of your food and then realized that it wasn't what you
ordered? How did that happen? You said that the manager said that you
'complained about the food that you already ate'

Did you?

When exactly did you pay for this meal you want refunded? Sounds like
the meal was never finished.

Did you eat it?

It doesn't matter if you ordered what he thought you did... did you or
did you not eat the food you were presented with?

following him? This story seems to be missing some details. But a
manager should never direct you back to a server (unless this was an
episode of Undercover Boss, and the "server" was really the CEO).
