Smithfield's Bacon Quality Has Gone Down

I was shocked to see how blatantly you advertise high quality bacon, but when I bought a packet only the 3 strips that was visible through the see-through 'window' was real bacon, the rest was fat. I actually took a photograph and was shocked and horrified. Your are selling poor quality fat.... that's all.
A company like yourself that prides it in years of tradition should be reported to the FDA as it is unacceptable. I know the economy is tough, but do you have to rip off your customers?

Acknowledge there has been a drop in standards in public e.g. your website and recall and replace.
Also confirm how you have improved your QA standards.

You are absolutely right and their bacon sold in 3 lb packs is
deceptively packaged with the top package more sufficient than the
subsequent ones. And I would like to weigh it as I do not believe the
subsequent packages actually contain a pound of bacon. When cooked
they do not come out to the same amount. Also the bacon used to be
uniform and you received 20 slices now it is considerably less and not
sliced the same. How can it still be a pound? You don' have to be a
brain surgeon to figure out you are being scammed.
To the guy who said why didn't you take it back, how can you when you
have to cook it first that is an asinine suggestion.

shocked and horrified? over bacon?

Yes I am sure they will get right on changing their website to claim
they have crappy products.

Why not just bring it back, get a refund, or ask to exchange it.
