A couple weeks ago I purchased a pair of shoes from footlocker.com, for my mother for mothers day. My mother received the shoes and decided she needed to exchange them for a larger size. On 05/28/2012 my mother attempted to exchange the shoes at the retail Foot Locker store (3401 Dale Road, Modesto, CA 95356, (209)527-6398). My mother was told by the manager "LEE" she would need the original invoice plus original credit card used to make an exchange. So she contacted me and I decided i would make the exchange for her. I traveled 90+ miles to modesto from san francisco to make the exchange for her. I arrived at foot locker with the original invoice and credit card used for the original purchase. And told the store assoiciate named "BRIAN" I would like to exhchange the shoes for a larger size. Before even looking at the shoes or invoice he told me it wasn't possible. I than told him that my mom had spoken to the manager beforehand and his response was that he was the only manager available at the current time and he couldn't and wouldnt be processing an exchange. I than told him I wanted a full refund. He refused to give me a refund. At that point I told him I was contacting Foot Locker's corporate complaint office. He than told me I wasnt allowed to call them in his store and to get the "F" out. I than called 800-991-6815 and filed a complaint. COMPLAINT RECORD #: 55903

Process the return/refund on the shoes purchased.

I'm confused.

"With Racist Undertones"

Where was that? All I see is that they didn't let you return
something in the store that was ordered online.

How is that racist?

Could the problem be that you ordered them on-line? Some retailers
don't do exchanges from their on-line stores as they are technically
not the same companies. If they don't do exchanges, it's even less
likely that they'd do refunds. I'm only guessing, of course. If he
didn't look at the shoes or the receipt, he wouldn't have known where
you bought them.

According to the footlocker.com website, in store exchanges are
allowed:

The only limitation is availability. I wonder if that was involved.
Who knows, right? Sounds like it immediately escalated into a
confrontation.

Still, I'm not seeing any racist overtones or undertones at all. I
hate it when people play the race card just to "pile on" in their
complaint.
