I am furious that we were not informed by spirit the night before. we got at the airport 6.00 am for a 8.00 am flight to jamaica from tampa, when we got at airport we were told that my flight was 3 hours delayed. Coming back going through costoms in ft lauderdale to catch connectiong flight we alomost miss the flight due to the amount of people going through customs. I got home and found that all my clothes in my luggage was wet
I should have a full refund for this trip.

I was so sorry to learn of the disappointment you described on your recent flight to Florida. Regrettably, I am unable to share your opinion that a full refund should apply.
As others pointed out, it may not have been known the night prior of the delay on your flight the following day. Additionally, at some airports, passengers still need to checkin per the timeframe for their scheduled time of departure, regardless of a delay. Spirit could offer you a discount off a future flight as a gesture of goodwill in such a circumstance but are certainly not obligated to do so.
I am unsure why you feel it is the airlines' fault that there were a lot of people going through Customs upon arrival from an international point. What else do you expect at an airport? If you felt there were not enough officers or something, then you need to voice your concern to that group; not the airline.
As to your wet luggage, please follow the appropriate process inplace to report such issues with Baggage Services at your final destination for followup.

Maybe the airline didn't know the night before. And anyway, even if a flight is delayed, you are supposed to be at the airport at the scheduled time in case things change.
How can the airline control the number of people going through customs????
You are lucky your clothes were just wet and not lost. And that it was when you got home, not at the start of your vacation.
If everyone got a refund for minor travel inconveniences the airlines would be out of business tomorrow.
