HORMEL COMPLEATS

I work long hours, and often need a quick lunch or Dinner so I look for quick, appetizing food. I purchased about 5 of Hormel's Compleats Cafe Creations. One of these was the Chicken Chipotle Pasta. I heated in the micro, according to instructions. The cover of the box showed ample, bite size chunks of grilled white meat, with very little sauce(check out the packaging!).When I opened it, I thought I had opened my cats shredded chicken with gravy food by mistake. Honestly, it was nothing there but a poorly palatable mound of noodles smothered in distasteful gravy and NOT ONE BIT of chicken! Not ONE! I seldom find something that I will throw out, but this went straight to the garbage can. Sorry, Hormel! No more Compleats for me.

Less gravy, chicken(at least some!)or better yet, get a new chef! This was a discusting product!

Do they murder the animals there?

I don't know if they are killed on site or brought in and processed
there. My guess is they are brought in. Quaker Oats in Cedar Rapids,
IA doesn't smell much better, but that's more of a rancid burnt toast
smell.

I thought they only made stew, shows how much I know. oh well,
considering their stew is pretty bad I cant see it being much better
in their other products.

Hormel. Yuck. I'm not surprised by what you found. Stop spending
money on garbage disguised as food.

Even their raw pork products are sub-standard. If they gave those
prefab products away free I'd try them, but after looking at the
nutrition label there's no way I'd pay actual money for the stuff.

Agreed. And I feel the OP is right about the pet food thing. I imagine by Steve OH (IO) Thu June 28, 2012 @ 7:28 PM
