Pepsi Boycott Planned

Your Doritos commercial, from Frito-Lay where the man "feeds" his cat to the dog is disgusting. We are organizing to take it off the air and involving PETA and the ASPCA.

Please remove this commercial from the airwaves immediately.

Take the commercial off the air. We already have well over 2000 signatures. We have started a complete Pepsi product boycott, including all Pepsi products, and subsidiaries.

I'm a animal lover and I find the commercial quite humorous. I laughed
the first time I saw it.

Considering how many annoying commercials are out there, I find it odd
to pick on one of the few I find entertaining.

I found cat-flavor dog treats once (it was beef). the baker said her cat suggested it by PepperElf Thu September 6, 2012 @ 11:27 AM

If you haven't seen the commercial, here it is:

It's a TV commercial. Big deal. I have not seen it, but from the
remarks of others it either a) doesn't even happen or b) is so
nebulous your claim is laughable. I am a lover of all animals and feel
outrage anytime I hear of abuse of any type. This isn't one of those
times. Let's face it. No cat was either actually EATEN by a dog, nor
buried by one.

The PETA animal shelters kill 1000's of pets a year..

You're just now bringing this commercial up? It's been on for at least
8 months.

petition bothered to watch the commercial. I'm equally surprised that
no group of Great Dane lovers has launched a protest about the
negative portrayal of Great Danes. We live in a hypersensitive
society.

I have not seen this commercial. there was a Dane involved? by tali Tue August 28, 2012 @ 1:44 PM

I'm an animal rights nut, and you are off the charts.

I thought that commercial was hilarious, but I don't remember the dog
eating the cat, just trying to bribe the guy with Doritos so he'll
keep quiet.

normally when PETA does something I do the opposite.

PETA = Peaple Eating Tasty Animals

Any movement that PETA is behind is just politics.

Before they start huffing and puffing about a silly commercial maybe
they should clean their own house up.

- stop donating to known terrorst groups.

- stop killing the animals in your own shelters

PETA is the last group on earth who has ANY right to talk about
killing the animals when they do it more than any single one of us
could ever do.

yeeeah...where exactly is the owner feeding the cat to a dog? Why
would you even "go there"?

by fairywithfangs Posted Sun August 26, 2012 @ 8:06 PM

Um....no....the cat was not fed to the dog by the owner. The dog was
burying the cat on his own.

That commercial was also part of a contest

It was consumer made. Pepsi didn't actually make it, it was aired as
part of the contest then voted on by a panel. It scored the highest.

Shouldn't be drinking soda anyway.

If I am thinking about the same commercial, as I recall the dog buries
the cat and then bribes the guy who catches him with Doritos in order
to keep him quiet.

I am not aware of any commercial where a cat is fed to a dog.

Am I thinking of the right commercial?
