Dockers/JC Penney's free flight promotion

Last year I bought over $125.00 in Docker's products to qualify for the Dockers/JC Penney's free flight promotion. Looking at the promotion, it seemed to be a great deal but it has turned out to be nothing but a big headache!!

I followed all the guidelines that TLC Marketing required for the ticket voucher however I am not having any luck with a response about status of my ticket. I planned to travel in mid June and already booked my hotel and made other reservations. When I first called TLC to inquire about my request for redemption of the voucher, I was assured that my request was going to be processed well in time for my planned trip. It is now May 30 and I have no confirmation yet!! I have made several follow up calls with TLC and at first they were saying they would contact me in a week and my request was being expedited. A few weeks went by and now they are saying that they are backlogged and someone will contact me ASAP. I asked how soon is ASAP because I need to continue with my travel plans and they refuse to give me a timeframe or date. If I called 3 weeks ago and they said my request was being expedited, what is ASAP supposed to mean??? I even asked to speak to a supervisor or someone who can give me a better estimate than ASAP and I was told there wasn't anyone else I could talk to. I am so frustrated!!

When I bought the items to qualify for the voucher, I was entrusting that JC Penney's would have researched this company to ensure that what is promissed is delivered.

Thank you for your time.

Honor the voucher or contact TLC to process my voucher.

I am in the same boat. I purchased 250.00 worth of Dockers and
qualified my husband and myself for a trip. I submitted my vouchers
and have not heard back. Each time I would phone, I got a recording
stating they were processing requests. Now months past with not a
word, I called and the recording reads the offer is over or expired. I
guess I am out of luck. Who do we contact? Very disappointed. Going
thru the brochure we had been very excited about the time away we were
to have together.

I am in the same situation. I filled out the forms properly and was
told that someone would be contacting me soon. That was back in
March!! Now, when I call the phone number to inquire about my flight,
they just say that they are in the process of contacting everyone. I
think this is a bunch of crap. I spent $250 at JC Penny to get 2 free
flights, and now it looks like they are not going to come thru. The
phone number i had was 866-377-4084. Someone needs to start a Class
Action Lawsuit against JC Penny and Dockers....

I am also in the same boat as rest of you. Called atleast 20 times
to that special number 617-305-4099 and left message with no reply. I
think we all are trapped in a big scam by dockers and JCP.

Count me in on the loss! I have called the number we were given to
make our selection every week for the last month and NO-ONE calls
back. I had my form in on time and then got the call that some
destinations were no longer available and I had to call that special
number to make an alternate selection. But no-one that number
replies! Are we talking class-action suit here?

I got a call from them on this promotion and a phone # to call before
7-31 to use the flight or get $125.00 cash or $150 in dining
certificates. The phone number to call M-F is 617-305-4099. Hope
this helps.

told me a booking agent would be calling me within the next week!!

My friend and I (both of us purchase the $100 dockers and submitted
our vouchers only to hear the same story as everyone else -- it's
being expedited, etc.) have called and called as well. But beware, I
was told during my last phone call that after 7/31/08 you won't be
able to get anyone on the line. TLC lines will go dead and if your
rooms aren't booked by then you won't be able to book them ever.

We bought $250 worth of Docker stuff and filled out the information
for 2 tickets. Double checked it and sent it in, and we each received
a reply from TLC that was postmarked June 27, 2008 saying that our
forms were incomplete (no other information about what or where the
problem was) and the deadline for the scam (promotion) was June 30,
2008. They held these return letters until the last minute.

I'll be calling the MA. Attorney General at 1-617-727-8400 to file a
complaint. I'll also contact Penneys and Dockers and tell them what I
think of their scam.

It was too good to be true........and we fell for it!

I am in the same position as you are. Over a year ago, I bought well
over the required amount of Dockers to qualify for the offer. I
satified all the requirements and gave them multiple alternate dates
and three different destinations. I called many times and at first
was told that I needed to wait closer to my departure date, then told
to wait after the first of the year(Jan 2008) then told to call next
month again (and again.) Finally as it approached June, I was told to
call weekly. I called and called. Lately, I have been calling daily.
I, too, was told the person at TLC would expediate my request and that
they are not the booking agent. My latest call, last Friday, resulted
in a sorry, we had a much larger response than we requested, we can't
give you the dates you wanted. So far I have given them at least
seven different departure dates. Now they are telling me the offer has
been extended to next year, and I need to give them dates after July.
What a scam! Does anyone know of a class action regarding this?

Many people have had trouble with this promotion, and the problem lies
with TLC and any solution lies in the same place. Some people have
had success in filing complaints against TLC (NOT JC Penny) with the
Boston BBB. JCP probably won't use TLC again anytime soon, but beyond
that this is out of their hands.

Consumers seem to want to hold JC Penny responsible for this problem,
maybe because it is a recognizable name. However, the people at fault
are TLC Marketing. JCP isn't going to call TLC on behalf of
individual complaints. I've seen many complaints on the internet, and
some success stories. The success stories all involve TLC doing the
right thing. I hope they do for you also. I think the flights need
to be made soon.
