Regarding the Dockers / JC Penney Free Flight Promotion. My wife and I have both been qualified and awaiting confirmation of our flights since December 2007. Our requested departure date is this Friday, 4 days away, and we have yet to get a confirmation from the TLC scam artists regarding our flight. We have contacted the TLC office numerous times regarding this issue and have only recieved "lip service" regarding our confirmation, excuses that the promotion was so well received, blah, blah, blah...
Prior to this we were satisfied Dockers and JC Penney shoppers. Now, when the catalogues arrive in the mail or in my email in-box, they are summarily discarded with further thought. We have no intention of ever shopping Dockers or JC Penney again unless they (YOU) make a remarkable effort to correct this situation!
I hope the big promotion last July was worth all of my future business because that is what it has cost both the JC Penney and Dockers name.
Confirm my "Free flight" itinerary immediately for my requested destination and dates!
Better yet, get them confirmed and make it for First Class!!
Signed,
a Former JC Penney and Dockers customer

I had an inlaw actually get her free ticket and use it to fly from Houston to Washington DC. I have been waiting since I submitted in early March 2008. Missed my first two dates and was approaching my third, so we called in mid-June and they said the promotion was well received, etc. They would call me back within 10 days. Never happened. Yesterday I received an automated message on my answering machine that was cut off after Option 2. Haven't found a real person yet. I really doubt I can get a round trip ticket to any of the cities with the $125 cash, even at the best of times, so where is the equity in this "solution?"
JC Penney and Dockers did make the original contract with TLC, so they do have legal recourse to enforce that contract.

What are the options for the Dockers Free Flight Promion? I received a message on my answering machine but was cut off before the message completed. The first option was $125. What are the others. TLC is
no longer offering flights, but are giving voucher holders other items
instead. Thank you.

I, too, am furious that I was taken in by this scam. I have been trying to get my tickets for over a year now.
All I can suggest is that we each go ahead and book a flight on one of the dates we requested and start a class action against JC Penneys and Dockers to get the plane fare back. What do you think?

Did anyone get to use their free flight voucher?
I mailed mine in within 24 hours of purchasing the Dockers.
I have called repeatedly, but still not booked, and it has been a full year. They tell me they will call me prior to July 31st.

I too am a former JCP and Dockers customer. I never got my two free tickets after repeatedly calling and getting the runaround from TLC. The blame lies squarely on JCP and Dockers because they are the ones who profited from the promotion. We shopped at their store and bought their products. But never again. Unless JCP and Dockers makes TLC own up, or refunds my money or some other good will gesture, I'll never shop their again. There are other department stores. I paid my Penny's balance and cut up the card. I hope the loss of goodwill burns them. WHAT A RIP OFF!!! I hope a class action suit is started. Sign me up!

The blame lies squarely with TLC Marketing in Boston. Register a complaint with the Boston BBB (AGAINST TLC, NOT JCP) - some rebate customers have had results within a week.
This is out of JCP and Docker's hands. They do not have your name of rebate info - TLC does. TLC are the ones who screwed up. JCP won't look into this on your behalf.
You can jump up and down and threaten to not shop there, but they really can't help you. You really shouldn't penalize JCP or Dockers. They made a busienss arrangement with TLC and TLC dropped the ball.
Good luck.
