Poor Quality Shoes

I purchased a pair of flat, ballet slipper type shoes from one of your stores on 11/05/08. After wearing them 5 or 6 times they completely fell apart! The sole cracked and completely was removed from the body of the shoe. I threw away the box and my recipet, but I think to not get a refund would be ridiculous.

I would like a refund in the form of check or store credit in the amount of 16.99 plus tax (OH).

I have been a JCPenney shopper for many years; please do not ruin our good business relationship by ignoring my request.

Have you tried taking them back to the store?

JCP appears to give refunds on *new* merchandise without a receipt.
Did you try going back and showing the shoes to someone? I think this
would be more likely to result in success than trying to do this over
the internet. Not having the box may be a hitch, but they should be
able to see the shoe matches one that they sell. Good luck.

Unless they have a system like Target does and you charged them, then
you need to provide a receipt.

April Q.,

It would make sense to me for you to take the shoes back to the store
you bought them so they could see "the smoking gun".

Did you do this and not get satisfaction?
