I'm writing you today seeking your assistance clearing up a problem I have with my Barclays Bank MasterCard account. I previously wrote your customer service department on this matter
I have been a victim of identity theft which has been ongoing since last summer. This person had gained access to various credit cards and checking accounts I had none of my accounts with Juniper / Barclays Bank were affected but when this person gained access to my checking account(s) causing payments to my Barclays Bank MasterCard account returned un-paid.
Making timely payments and building up a solid credit history has always been quite important as my credit is important to me. I have been a loyal customer for over two years now and up until recently have had a good payment history. The only reason my account went late was because someone accessed my checking account(s) draining them to nothing.
When I became aware of this situation on my Barclays Bank MasterCard account I immediately made a Western Union QuickCollect Payment. I have also filed a police report which is enclosed. I have even placed fraud alerts on my credit bureau reports.
In light of these circumstances I'm asking Barclays Bank please remove the 30 day late payment recently reported to the credit bureaus. Had our checking account not been accessed without our authorization this matter would have never happened?
This matter is causing me great financial hardship as I am in the process of purchasing a new home. With this mark on my record it is costing me a great deal more money finalizing my purchase. It's bad enough this person has caused so much havoc on my life.
Please remove this thirty (30) day late payment from my credit record.
Please contact me with any questions you may have.
Sincerely,
Kevin
Please remove 30 day late payment.
