This should be the last straw, you should cancel this card, and all of
your cards and live on what you earn. If you play with the snakes,
you will eventually get bit! And the good book states, that the
borrower is slave to the lender.

There are many factors a bank looks at. Your FICO score, your
utilization, your payment history, your frequency of use of the card.

I always pay my cards off and always have. The bank has never earned
one penny of interest from me. I use my cards a lot, and nobody has
messed with my limits or my cards. Remember the bank makes plenty of
money through purchase transaction fees, so it isn't just interest
they are looking at.

If the bank told you your credit score was low, it probably is what
caused this reduction in your limit. All banks are tightening their
standards right now, and a FICO score that was alright a year ago may
trigger a red flag now.
