A Refund Please...

On Tuesday, 6-16-09, we went to the KFC on 38th St. in Tacoma, WA. We ordered a 10 piece grilled chicken bucket with biscuits, cole slaw, mashed potatoes and gravy. My SENIOR Citizen Mother bought the meal. It was almost $20.00. The chicken pieces were old - the meat was NOT FRESH chicken AT ALL! Plus the peices were tiny. Legs that were about 2 inches in size. They looked like they were off a Robin or similar wild bird not a chicken. The biscuits were rock hard and unedible. We were NOT given a reciept and we are so angry about this wasted money. My Mother deserves to get her money back. She's on a fixed income. I hope this location goes out of business.

I want KFC to refund the money my Mother spent. It was almost $20.00.

Wouldn't it have been more polite of you to buy dinner for your senior
citizen mother who is on a FIXED INCOME?

Hate to tell you but everyone is on a fixed income nowdays and its no
longer a phrase used just for the elderly.

KFC has good food when its freshly made, hot and portions are given
correctly. However going there between the hours of 3-5 and then 6pm
till closing...you take your chances. They rarely if ever will make
fresh unless you order something they do not have already under the
warmers.

And getting a receipt is always something one should do no matter
what...especically with drive thru orders.

It's crappy fast food. What can you really expect?

Wow. Between this letter and the costco egg letter, you are really
making you're mother out to be some kind of victim totally incapable
of taking care of herself.

Just because you're mother is older and on a fixed income does not
mean that she is completely incapable of taking care of herself. And
I'm sure that if she knew you were making her out to seem like that to
a bunch of total internet strangers, she would feel really
disrespected, humiliated and probably a bit like an invalid.

I sure hope if I have kids they treat me much better once I get up in
years.

Did you bring this to the attention of the general manager? They are
empowered to give refunds on the spot. Call the store or go to the KFC
website and report your concerns through their feedback form. KFC,
along with all of the other Yum! Brands subsidiaries, always get back
with you ASAP when you use the feedback form.

I bought some of the grilled chicken a few weeks ago, and you are
right, the pieces are very small. I actullay compaireda peice to some
chicken I had in the freezer, and it was about 2/3 the size.

blame everything on your mother's advanced age? If she is old enough
to have raised you to be a self sufficient adult, why do you insist on
speaking about her as if she is not competent to think or act on her
own behalf?

And you say WE went to KFC and WE ordered the meal; so what were YOU
doing when they handed your Mom this unacceptable meal?

God I hope my kids don't treat me like this when I get older!

What does being a senior citizen have to do with receiving a poor
quality meal? If it was poor why didn't you call the location when you
got home and noticed that the food was bad? They may have remedied the
situation right then and there for you.

There is no way of proving you were even there. I doubt they will
review video tapes over a refund request.

I have no doubt you were served a lousy meal, but I don't think you
stand much chance of a refund.

I disliked every KFC I ever visited. If their employees could find
work elsewhere, I wouldn't mind if they closed. For some reason, I
can eat fast food hamburgers, but chicken, no.
