customer service

I have a Kmart store approximately 2 minutes from my house. Although Kmart is not the store I normally choose to shop at, I do often go to this store because it is so close to my house. I often go to this Kmart if I have one item to buy and dont want to drive further to say Target or Wal Mart. On multiple occasions that I have been to this Kmart, I have never experienced good customer service. There are always high school aged employees joking around with each other and when they do finally ask if you need help, they can never help you. I have had at least five negative shopping experiences at this Kmart and Have maybe only been there 10 times. There have been multiple times where the item I was trying to purchase would not ring at the register and no employee could find the price for the specific item. On one visit, I stood at the register for approximately 15 minutes while the high school aged employees attempted to find the price for the item. They could not find the price and attmpted to send me away without the item. Finally, the cashier made up a price and manually entered it. The employees could not explain why or how this particular item was not in the computer system.
At a different visit, upon leaving the store, I attempted to purchase a can of coke for my four year old at the pop machine near the entrance to the store and the machine did not work upon putting money into it. Normally I would just try another machine, but I was out of change. I went to customer service and there was a teenage girl who told me I had to wait for someone else to help me. A teenage male finally came to help. After explaining to him what happened, he told me there was a 1-800 number on the machine that I had to call as the store "had nothing to do with those machines". It was very frustrating.
Overall, I would rate this Kmart poor in customer service and management. The majority of employees do not seem well trained and do not know how to deal with customers. I will never shop at this Kmart again.

I would like my 75 cents returned to me.

yeaa...
It seems K-mart didn't bother you but the teenaged employees did. I
take offense to that.
Two, the machines actually don't belong to K-mart. Besides, it was
only 75 cents. get over it.

While K-Mart is deficient in many areas, they are not the ones
responsible for the soda machine eating your money. You have to
contact the company that owns the machine to get your money back.

Seems to me that you have a prejudice against high school aged
employees more than you do against Kmart.

The kid is right. The vending machines don't belong to Kmart. You need
to get ahold of the vending machine company.

I doubt Kmart is going to jump at the opportunity to help out, since
you told them up front that you go there only when you must and prefer
to do the majority of your shopping elsewhere.

They are lying about the machine's they can give you back the 75
cents. Wal-mart does it all the time when people say they lost money
in the machine's.

Well, they're right about the machines. Somebody buys the right to
have their machines in a given location, and then that somebody is
responsible for filling the machines, making them work, etc. So no,
Kmart should not be giving you back your 75 cents any more than they
should reimburse you for a defective product you bought somehwere
else.
