Horrible gumbo and cold food at Landry's

We were visiting the Landry’s location in Orlando, FL after a day at Disney. I had visited Landry's before in Kemah, Texas (where I grew up) and was always quite pleased and told our friends (party of 7) who we were dining with about how excellent the gumbo and food was. The rice that was used for the gumbo was mushy and soft. It was almost like mashed potatoes. The consistency was nothing I had ever tasted before. I grew up eating gumbo in Galveston, Texas so I know what rice used in gumbo is supposed to taste like. The roux for the gumbo also tasted burned/overcooked. When I asked our server was there something wrong with the rice, she responded "that's how we always serve it". Most of the food that my party ordered was barely warm. Needless to say I was thoroughly embarrassed after bragging how good Landry's Seafood was. The service we had was just average and the manager only came by to bring out our food but did not ask about our meals. I can provide the details from my receipt if required.

Reply and let me know if this is the how they normally serve their rice with gumbo and provide an explanation why our food was not served hot. Also provide me certificates to another restaurant to make up for our disappointing visit.

There was a manager there onsite. I think you should have asked to
speak to him then and there.

sounds like the rice just sat and over cooked for a long long time.
