About three to four weeks ago I went to Lowe's in Danbury, CT to look at kitchen cabinets. I was told I needed to make an appointment in order for someone to help me because there was already an appointment scheduled for that evening. I proceeded to make an appointment for the following night. Nathan worked with me to design a kitchen. I called Lowe's on Monday October 26th to make an...

Why are you paying for a Customer Care Department?
by Jonathan L. of Chicago, Illinois written to Lowe's Posted Thu October 22, 2009 1:56 pm

In these difficult economic times, I have a suggestion for how you can save money. Fire your entire Customer Care Department and replace it with a few lines of computer code that receives the requests, sends an automatic reply asking for the name and location of the store in question (even if the request does not relate to a specific store), and once this information is received, e-mails the...

My experience with Troybilt and Briggs & Stratton, manufacturers of lawn & other outdoor products that Lowe's sells, will lead me to discontinuing my patronage with Lowe's, pending the outcome of posting this complaint.

Short version: I assembled the Troybilt Lawn Mower (model 460) following the instructions listed in the owner's manual. Within 30-days of ownership, the engine died (on...

I purchased a snowthrower 2 years ago from Lowe's.
I also purchased an extended warrenty with it.
After 18 months the pullrope broke.
I returned to the store of purchase to get it repaired.
There I was informed I would have to call the service number.
When I called the service number I was informed I would have to produce my original sales receipt before any repair was performed.

Please...

Dissatisfied customer
by Holly S. of West Chester, Pennsylvania written to Lowe's Posted Fri September 11, 2009 12:40 pm

I purchased and had installed by Lowe's a Pergot laminate floor throughout my office. We had chosed 4 1/2 -inch wood base board and the flooring people installed 3 inch baseboard which left a 2-inch gap between the boards and the end of the wallpaper. When I pointed this out, it was a big fiasco to get the correct baseboard and the company was going to charge me to "un-install" the...
